'A Little Something' Gift Tag - Magnolia-licious November Blog Hop

Hello.

It's blog hop time at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog!  This is our last one of the year--taking a break in December.  The two Magnolia-licous teams are joining forces for this blog hop...woo-hoo!

If you're already doing the blog hop and came here from Eulanda's blog, then you're on the right track.  But if not, you may want to start at the beginning.  There's a challenge blog hop as well as a special contest about counting candy canes.  Find out more details about the blog hop and the contest, how you can enter either or both and the prizes, at the Magnolia-licious Highlites, HERE.

Here is the list of our participating DT gals in blog hop order:
Eulanda Silvey
Norma (your are here!)

The theme for the blog hop challenge is 'Interactive Holiday Tags'.  What I've created is this gift tag!

The interactive part is the paper circle/wheel on which I've written the message 'A little something  Just for You * Happy Christmas'.  Portions of the message appear within the window opening as you spin the wheel--so I guess you'd call this a spinner gift tag?

This adorable Magnolia image that I am featuring is called Tilda With Two Little Gifts.  She is from the A Christmas Story Collection 2012 and is available from Diana's on-line store, Magnolia-licious.

Check out the rest of the collection and Magnolia's latest Nativity Collection 2012--they're oh so cute! You will see the sample images that have been coloured by the DT gals--rather than just the black stamped images with a watermark on top of it. Click HERE and HERE.
Other stamps, both full-size and mini, are also available from Magnolia-licious. If you don't see the stamp that you want there, just ask Diana and maybe she can bring it in for you.
Not to be missed are the variety of cutting dies from Magnolia, Memory Box, PoppyStamps, Marianne Design and Cheery Lynn Designs.  Diana gives excellent service, discounted prices and you also earn in-store credit for every order.

I've coloured the Tilda image with markers--my collection of Letraset Promarker and Pantone Tria markers.  The shape of the tag is from a Spellbinders Label Twenty-Eight die.  The trees were created using Dee's Distintively Christmas Stacker Tree dies.  Don't know if you can tell or not, but I've covered the trees and the snowflakes with micro-fine glitter.

Birthday Card - Everything Wonderful

Hello.

I'm working on a whole bunch of Christmas cards, but I can't show them yet because I want them to be received by the recipients first before I post them here.  Some of them are finished and some of them still have more work to be done on, but they all have to be mailed out...LOL.

In the meantime, I have this card that I forgot to post.  It was a birthday card that I made for a very dear blogging friend of mine.  I was waiting for her to receive it before I posted it, and then I completely forgot about it...yikes!  Losing some little grey cells here! haa haa...

Anyway here's the card...

I love this colour combo of pink and green--it's one of my faves.  I am featuring one of my favorite Tilda's also--this one is called Tilda with Flower Pot.  She is from Magnolia's Butterfly Dreams Collection 2011.  She was coloured with my Letraset Promarker and Pantone Tria markers.

The stamp for this adorable image is available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store.
Diana provides excellent services, discounted prices and you also earn in-store credit for every order.

I've made this into an easel card.

Christmas is Coming! - Magnolia-licious Highlites November challenge

Hello.  Happy November!  The month snuck up on you, didn't it?  LOL...on me too!

Anyway, it's the first of the month, so it's time for a new challenge at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog.  And woo-hoo...I am the hostess this month.  My chosen challenge theme is to have 'something hidden' in your card or project.  It can be a hidden message, tag, gift card or you can make a pop-up card, a peek-a-boo card, etc.

So this is what I have made--an advent-calendar card.  Yes, another one, but different than the last.

It is actually a front-panel side-step card.  For the countdown of the days before Christmas, I have added the December dates to the side panel.  They are attached by a piece of Zutter Bind-It-All binding wire.  The dates are my 'something hidden'.

I actually saw, quite a while back, some kind of an advent calendar that someone made using the binding wire.  Sorry, but I didn't make a note of whose blog I saw it in.  I'm pretty sure it wasn't a side-step card though, but the idea must have lodged in my mind.  I had to hand-punched these holes for the binding wire to pass through, because I just couldn't fit into my Zutter machine so that it will punch the holes where I want them.  The machine will only punch the holes at the very top edge of the card.

Here are a couple side views...

I like this style of advent-calendar card.  I think I'm going to make a few more and send them out early--by the end of the month!.  But I'd better find an easier way to create those holes for the binding wire to pass through...LOL.
**Edited--template for this card HERE if you're interested.

I hope you can play along with us in our challenge at the Magnolia-licious Highlites. For more inspirations, have a look a the fabulous cards and projects that my DT teammates have created, HERE, and also to get more details on the challenge and how to join us.

I love this Tilda image!  Sooo... cute!  She is called Tilda With Long Hair and she is from Magnolia's newest A Christmas Story Collection 2012.

The stamps for this Tilda and the other adorable images from this collection are available from Diana's on-line store, Magnolia-licious--click HERE.  Other full-size and mini stamps from older collections are available as well.  If you don't see the stamp you want, contact Diana and ask her if she can bring it in for you.
Take a look also at the selection of wonderful cutting dies from Memory Box, PoppyStamps, Magnolia, Marianne Design and Cheery Lynn Designs. Diana gives excellent service, discounted prices and you will earn in-store credit with every order to be used on future purchases.  Sweet!
