Hello. Happy Tuesday!
We're into our second week of the current challenge at the Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps Challenge Blog where the theme is to use VELLUM in fun, creative ways. This is a sort-of midway reminder--you have a couple more week to join the challenge. It's Magnolia-licious Team B's turn to show our cards/projects for the challenge.
Here's my card...
Parchment craft or Pergamano is a craft that interests me but I have done very little of it. I have made use of some of the Pergamano tools that I have to make this faux lace for the vellum element on my card.
This cute image being featured is of Happy Princess Tilda and she's one of the images from Magnolia's Once Upon A Time Collection 2013.
In the inside of my card...
I am featuring another adorable image from the same Once Upon A Time Collection 2013. This is Tilda Longstocking. Yes...again! I don't usually feature the same image in two postings in a row--just bad planning here! This one was actually done before the previous one. Oh well.
The images on this card were coloured using my Letraset Promarker and Pantone Tria markers.
Both the Magnolia stamps I've used here are available from Diana's on-line store, Magnolia-licious--an excellent source for your Magnolia stamps, both full-size and mini stamps. If you don't see the particular one you are looking for in the store, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.
Also available now at Magnolia-licious are those adorable Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet and also cutting dies from Magnolia, Memory Box, PoppyStamps.
Diana offers discounted prices, excellent customer service and you also get to earn 2% in-store credit with every purchase!

Tilda in Green and Yellow Longstockings
Hello.
This style of card is one of my favorites--a front-panel side step card. (Template HERE if you're interested.)
I am featuring one of the many adorable images from Magnolia's newest stamp collection--
-Tilda Longstocking from the Once Upon A Time Collection 2013.
The background however is from an older collection--
-Tulip Walkway from the Butterfly Dreams Collection 2011.
The Tilda image was stamped separately from the background--not masked. She was cut out and then placed on the background image on pieces of foam tape to give it a more 3-D look (only in real life though...LOL...I don't think you can tell from the picture).
The inside of my card was decorated like this...
and here I am featuring--
-Tilda With Little Pocket from the With Love Collection 2013.
Magnolia stamps are available from Diana's on-line store, Magnolia-licious--an excellent source for both full-size and mini stamps. If you don't see the particular one you are looking for in the store, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.
Also available now at Magnolia-licious are those adorable Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet and also cutting dies from Magnolia, Memory Box, PoppyStamps.

Enjoy Your Special Day!
Hello.
I am enjoying colouring the images from the new stamp collection from Magnolia, Once Upon A Time Collection 2013. But I have just been busy doing the actual colouring and not producing any cards at all with the images...LOL. But finally I have finished one to show you...
I think this oh so adorable image is my new favorite stamp.
She is called Sitting Tilda With Butterfly. I have sat her on the Large Snail from the Fairytale Collection 2010.
The inside of my card looks like this...
I have paired the sitting Tilda in front with this Tilda in Ugg Shoes from the Australian Collection 2012 . I thought this was the perfect matching as both Tildas are with Flutter, the pet butterfly--I took licence in naming the butterfly...tee hee hee
All of the Magnolia stamps I've used here are available from Diana's on-line store, Magnolia-licious--an excellent source for your Magnolia stamps, both full-size and mini stamps. If you don't see the particular one you are looking for in the store, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.

3-Step Card Tutorial (4 1/4" x 6" card)
Hello.
I created a 3-step card a couple of posting back HERE.
The card was only 4 1/4" x 6" in size. I made it smaller than my usual size--which is 6-inch square--because I was going to use only one Mini Magnolia image on the card front. I thought the 6-inch square card was to large for it unless I heap all kinds of embellishments on it--more than I already did...LOL.
Anyway, I was asked to do a tutorial on it (Donna, this is for you), so here goes...
Materials required
2 pieces of cardstock 8 1/2" x 6" each
4 1/8" x 5 7/8" designer/patterned paper to decorate the front
8 1/2" x 6" designer/patterned paper to decorate the inside
Other materials to finish decorating as you desired, eg. coloured images, flowers, ribbons, bows, pearls, etc.
Templates for the 3-step card
And woo-hoo...this old gal has used the little grey cells in her head and has figured out how to put PDF's in her blog post...LOL.
3-Step Card (front cover) template ( I know you don't really need this one...tee he he)
3-Step Card (inside card) template
3-Step Card (front cover) template in centimetres
3-Step Card (inside card) template in centimetres
For those of you who need step-by-step instructions, here they are...
INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1
Score an 8 1/2" x 6" cardstock midway at 4 1/4" and fold. This is for the front cover. Put aside.
Step 2
On the other 8 1/2" x 6" cardstock, pencil-draw horizontal lines at 2" and 4" from the top.
On the first horizontal line, mark at 3 1/4" and 5 3/4".
On the second horizontal line, mark at 3 3/4" and 6 1/4".
Step 3
Using a ruler and a craft knife, cut between the 2 marks at each horizontal line (shown as white dashes below).
Step 4
Score at 2 1/4" from top to bottom.
Score at 5 1/4" from top to 1st horizontal line.
Score at 5 3/4" from 1st horizontal line to 2nd horizontal line.
Score at 6 1/4" from 2nd horizontal line to bottom.
Step 5
Turn the paper upside down and
Score at 5 1/4" from top to 1st horizontal line.
Score at 4 3/4" from 1st horizontal line to 2nd horizontal line.
Score at 4 1/4" from 2nd horizontal line to bottom.
Step 6
Create valley and mountain folds where indicated on template. This is the card inside.
Step 7
Apply glue as show below.
Step 8
Adhere the card inside to the front cover.
Step 9
This is the easiest way I can think of of explaining how to cut out and trim your designer/patterned paper to decorate the inside of your card.
Draw the cut and score lines shown on the template on your designer/patterned paper.
Step 10
Using your ruler and craft knife, trim away about 1/16" for the outside paper edges and both sides of every drawn line, a shown below.
Step 11
Apply glue to the back of each piece and adhere to card inside as shown.
Step 12
Apply glue to the back of the 4 1/8" x 5 7/8" designer/patterned paper and adhere to card front. And voila!...you're done.
Now you can finish decorating your card with coloured stamped image(s) and embellishments as you desired.

Have fun with this!

Faux Book - FFFC #86
Hello! Happy Friday!
It's time for a new challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge Blog. This fortnight challenge is hosted by the lovely Wendy and she has chosen as the theme...use a faux technique. I have decided to make a faux book for my DT project. This has been on my to-do list for the longest time, but I never got around to making it. So I thought this is the perfect time to make one. You can find a tutorial for the faux book at Stempeleinmaleins blog site HERE (it's in metric though).
Doesn't it look like a book? But as you've probably guessed, this is actually not a book, as the inside is hollow. This is more or less a gift box. I've put some chocolate chip cookies inside the book box.
And for the back of the front cover, this is Tilda with Dot Bow from the With Love Collection 2013. I did a bit of alteration to the original image by replacing the heart that she was holding with a chocolate chip cookie.
Magnolia stamps are available from Diana's on-line store, Magnolia-licious. Diana has a vast collection of both full-size and mini Magnolia stamps. If you don't see the particular one you are looking for in the store, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.
Also available now at Magnolia-licious are those adorable Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet and a variety of cutting dies from Magnolia, Memory Box, PoppyStamps, Marianne Design, Cheery Lynn Designs and Joy! Crafts.
Diana offers discounted prices, excellent customer service and you also get to earn 2% in-store credit with every purchase! Sweet.

It's time for a new challenge at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge Blog. This fortnight challenge is hosted by the lovely Wendy and she has chosen as the theme...use a faux technique. I did NOT pay careful attention to the instructions of the tutorial and forgot about the ribbon until it was too late. You need the ribbon to keep the box closed securely. So instead of starting over, I made a book case for it. By slipping the book into the book case, I can be certain that it will remain closed.
Colouring of the stamped images were done with Letraset Promarkers and Pantone Trias.
This image I have used for the book cover is called Tilda With a Lovely Jam. She is from Magnolia's Turning Leaves Collection 2012.
