It's time for a new challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. Our colour challenge for July has been chosen by Linda, this month's hostess, and she has chosen the colours red, white and blue.
This is the time that I say to myself that I should get serious about making Christmas cards--after all, Christmas is less than 6 months away, right?...LOL. 'Christmas in July' is a very popular theme and it seemed to me that last year almost every challenge blog had this as its theme sooner or later...LOL...didn't you think so? So here's a Christmas-in-July card.
This is one of my favorite stamps from the A Merry Little Christmas Collection 2010. She is called Tilda in Winter Light. She is usually available from Magnolia-licious on-line store, however I see that it is currently not in stock, so if you want this stamp, please contact Diana. This image is also available in the mini version and that one is in stock.
I'm switching back and forth between markers and coloured pencils as I love them both. The images on this card were coloured with coloured pencils.
Here's a list of the challenges that I am entering with this card:
Just Magnolia and hAnglar & sTanglar Week 114 - A sketch by Jane
Creat4Fun - 88th Challenge - July Sketch
Totally Tilda - Challenge #26 - Distressing
All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge - Week 84 - Anything Goes
Crafts and Me - Challenge 42 - Favorites (stamp/image)
7 Kids College Fund - Challenge #25 - Red, White and Blue
Creative Inspirations - Challenge 63 - Red, White and Blue
Allsorts Challenge - Week 111 - Free and Easy July
Going Grey With Scrap-Creations - Recipe Challenge (2 Dp's, 2 embellishments)
Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 172 - Lace
Challenge Up Your Life - Challenge #47 - 1 die, 1 lace , 1 brad
I'm trying to show all the glitter that I've put on this card...and all over my craft room...LOL. I took the picture at an angle where I thought the light was reflected back from the glitter. Hmm...I don't know if you can tell. I've added the glitter to the white trim of Tilda's winter coat and hood, the swirls, the snowflakes and the light from the lantern.
Here's a view of the inside of the card. I've added Tilda with Hanging Star from the same A Merry Little Christmas Collection 2010.
I think that's it!--nothing more to add. I hope you will join us in our colour challenge. Please visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to have a look at the fabulous cards of my DT teamates and for more inspirations. Or links to their personal blogs are on my sidebar also.
Thanks for dropping by. As always, your visit is much appreciated. Have a wonderful day and take care!
