NOEL
I was working on this Christmas card while I was waiting for my stamps of the new Magnolia Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011 to arrive in the mail. I've received them now, woo-hoooo...can't wait to start colouring the new images. But in the meantime I've finished this one.
Here's a close-up of the Tilda I used for the card front. (Did you notice that Blogger did something to their system and now you can no longer blow up the pictures by clicking on them? I loved that feature!!!...sigh). This is Cozy Tilda from the So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Collection 2009.
The colouring of the images for this card were done using my collection of alcohol-ink base markers (Letraset Promarkers and Pantone Trias, Shinhan Touch markers).
Here's a view of the inside of my card. I left it simple because the paper design is quite busy already.
The little angel I've used here is called Sparkling Tilda from the So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Collection 2009 also. Magnolia stamps and doohickey cutting dies are available from Diana's online store Magnolia-licious. Diana gives you the best service and she has the largest collection of the mini version of Magnolia stamps. Check them out HERE.

Fall is in the air
Oh I can't believe it's the nearing the end of October already. Where did the month go!? Anyway, it's the 4th Tuesday of the month, so it's a new inspiration challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and here's my inspiration card.
And this is our inspirational photo chosen by Candy, our hostess for October. Don't you just love it? This picture speaks to me of 'Autumn' and I love those glorious warm autumn colours.
My card is a front-panel side step card. I think this is probably my second favorite type of card next to the easel card.
Here's a close-up of the altered Magnolia image that I've coloured with my coloured pencils. This is Tilda on the Loose from the Bon Voyage Collection 2010. In the original image, Tilda is carrying a suitcase, probably hurrying to catch a plane and that's why she's holding on to her hat. I thought this would be the perfect Tilda image for a windy autumn day.
The background image of leaves blowing in the wind is called Fall Background from the Autumn and Halloween Collection 2008.
Now if you know me, it's just not in me to leave the inside of a card alone...LOL.
I went searching for a poem on fall/autumn on the internet and found this one that I've put on the top inside section of the card:
"Come said the wind to the leaves one day,
Come o're the meadows and we will play.
Put on your dresses scarlet and gold,
For summer is gone and the days grow cold."
(A Children's Song of the 1880's)
In keeping with the 'fall is in the air' theme, for the bottom inside section, I've used this adorable Tilda. She is called Bubbling Tilda from the Fairytale Collection 2010. Tilda is playing the roll of the Autumn Fairy blowing bubbles of colours to paint the world in shades of autumn.
All the Magnolia images I have used here are available at Diana's online store Magnolia-licious. Diana has a fabulous selection of the Magnolia images, the full-size and the mini versions. Check them out HERE--the images from the newest Sweet Christmas Dreams Collections 2011 are just too adorable!!!
I hope you will join us in our inspiration challenge. There's is a prize of a $25.00 Gift Certificate for a shopping spree at Magnolia-licious--you can use it to buy these images...LOL. And to further inspire you, have a look at fabulous cards and projects that the other DT gals have created HERE!

A criss-cross birthday card
Just a short posting to show you a birthday card I made for a special friend (or rather I'm planning this to be short...LOL).
Now that's she's received her card (belated!!!) in the mail, I can do the posting for it.
I have used this Magnolia image of Waiting Tilda from the You Are So Special Collection 2011 for the card front. The field of flowers is Lazy Summer Flowers from the...what else...Lazy Summer Days Collection 2009. All the images I've coloured are Magnolia images and they are available from Magnolia-licious --Diana's on-line store for everything and anything Magnolia. And check out the mini versions of the Magnolia images too!
This was a work in masking...at least for me! I stamped the flowers first and masked them. Then I stamped the Tilda image and masked her. Then I stamped another set of flowers. So now Tilda has flowers in front and behind her.
This is a criss-cross card. It's only the second time I've used this card style. The criss-crossed paper, glued at the bottom forms a pocket and you can insert anything you want in there.
I've made this pull-out tag/card featuring Dancy Tilda from Collection 2011. This adorable image is of Happy Spring Tilda. She is from Magnolia's Butterfly Dreams Collection 2011. I used the back of the card to write my personal message on. This way I don't feel like I'm destroying my card. My handwritting is really terrible!!--it's better if it stays hidden...LOL.
A few challenges that I would like to enter with this card:
Emerald Faerie Garden - Challenge # 10 - Punches and Dies
Creatalicious - Challenge #27 - Distress your edges. I've only distressed them by inking them.
Just Magnolia hAnglar & sTanglar - Week 128 – Distressing
Okay, that's it for me today. Now, I'm off to work on some Christmas cards. My inventory is sadly very low. How are you guys doing with yours? You do know that Christmas is less than 3 months away, right? 10 weeks tomorrow to be exact! Yikes!!!!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by. I always appreciate your visit. Enjoy your weekend!
(This wasn't as short as I thought it would be....LOL)

One Smile - Magnolia-licious Colour Challenge #12
It's the 2nd week of October, so it's time for a new challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. Here's my DT card.
It's a Colour Challenge and Candy, who is our hostess for the month of October, has chosen the colours blue, green and clear/white.
I have used Magnolia's Tilda With Straw Hat for the front of my card--she's becoming a favorite of mine--from the Butterfly Dreams Collection 2011. Isn't she sweet? She's available from Magnolia-licious, an on-line store for anything and everything Magnolia. This image is also available in the Mini Version.
I've used the Magnolia doohickey cutting die called Old Swedish Lace to border the oval die cut. (See my tutorial on how to do this if you don't already know how.)
And here's how I decorated the inside of my card. This other sweet gal is called Tilda with Pony Tail. She is from the Sweet Rainbow Collection 2011.
I've coloured both the Tilda images with my coloured pencils.
I hope you will come and join us in our challenge. Diana has offer a prize of a $25.00 Gift Certificate for your shopping pleasure at Magnolia-licious. And to further inspire you, have a look at fabulous cards and projects that the other DT gals have created HERE!

Crafting Life’s Pieces - Challenge #41 - October sketch
Bunny Zoe’s Crafts - Challenge 17 – Lace it up!

Just Because
This is going to be a short posting. I have another shaped card to show you.
This Magnolia gal is called Running Tilda and she is from the Butterfly Dreams Collection 2011. I've only used her on a card once before, I think, and I don't why because she's just adorable. Hmm...probably because there are sooo... many adorable Tildas...LOL.
Anyway, Magnolia-licious on-line store is the place to get anything and everything Magnolia. And that dear lady, Diana, provides the best service. Most of the Magnolia images are available both in the full-size and the mini versions. Check them out HERE.
I've made this an easel card--my favorite type.
Challenges that I am entering with this card:
ABC Challenges - Oct. 1 Challenge - A for Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes theme, with the option of adding something punched.
Paper Sundaes - Challenge #89 - Lots of layers.
All That Scraps - Anything Goes
Dutch Dare Card - CCDC #133 - Special Folds
Allsorts - Week 123 - 5 flowers
Ummm.... What else to say here?
I did my colouring with my markers this time. I'm switching back and forth between colouring with my markers and colouring with my coloured pencils. I love both mediums. And sometimes I combined the two.
That's it for me for now. Thanks so very much for stopping by. Always glad to see you and appreciate you sweet comments--love reading them.
Have a wonderful day. Weekend coming up, woo-hoooo... Double woo-hoo for us Canucks as it's a long weekend for us. It's our Thanksgiving on Monday.
