Hello.
Here's another swing card I've made--with a different-shaped centre panel.
This one is in one of my fave colour combo--teal and brown--and I am also using a DP that I just luvvvv.....and woo-hoo I have lots of them 'cause I stocked up when they were on sale...LOL. I've used the Tilda with Butterfly Jeans image for the front of the card--from Magnolia's Butterfly Dreams Collection 2011. Images for this card were coloured with markers (colours listed below at the end of posting).
For the flip side I've used this adorable image of Bridesmaid Tilda from Magnolia's Wedding Collection 2010. For creating the centre panel, I was trying a new shape and used the Spellbinder Grand Labels Four die.
I've decorated the card with die cuts made with an exquisite Memory Box die called Valencia Border, available from Magnolia-licious--I love this die. Not only can I use the gorgeous swirly design (middle of the card), but I can use the pieces inside the swirls. They're gorgeous too and I've used them at the sides of the card. Waste not want not!
By the way, both these Magnolia images of Tilda and the Memory Box die you can get from Magnolia-licious. Check out the fabulous collection of full-size and mini-size Maggies that Diana has, as well as the selection of dies--Memory Box, PoppyStamps and Magnolia Doohickies--and other crafting tools.

This is gorgeous Norma. I love the brown and teal colour combo and the design papers are scrummy. The images are shaded beautifully. Love the swing card - off to google how to make one. Learnt so much from your blog this morning and it's still only 9am :-)

Norma, it's just amazing! I love to consider your cards are always so many interesting parts and I like the color. But I have a question: How do we obtain such thin border? I have a collection of dies ovals, but if you cut out two ovals, which are different from each other on a size, then get large edge - at least 5 mm. On your cards are always very thin elegant edge, you have such dies?
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS! Yes, Norma, this is a lovely color combo...teal and brown. It's so rich and pretty. I love this flip card and especially the two Tilda images, and the backside with Bridesmaid Tilda is perfect with the angle of her backside. Ummm, what is the name of this paper collection? I like the vintage-y/shabby-chic look.
