It's the 2nd Tuesday in May--comes early this year!--so it's time for a new colour challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. I've created this birthday card for the challenge...
The so ever talented Maria is our hostess this month and the colours she has chosen are: pink, green and light yellow/ecru.
I hope you will play along with us in our colour challenge. For more inspirations, please hop over to the challenge blog HERE and have a look a the fabulous cards that my DT teamates have created.
My card is what you call a swing card, or some call it a flip-flop card. I am liking this style of cards more and more. The more swing cards I make, the more I like them.
The centre panel, where I have put Tilda with Peony Tails (from Magnolia's Crazy Love Collection 2012) is the part that swings/flips over as you stretch the card wide open.
On the other/flip side of the centre panel, I have put another Magnolia image there. This one is Rose Scent Tilda (from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection 2012 also).
For an excellent selection of Magnolia stamps, both the full size and mini ones, check out Magnolia-licious online store. Diana also carries those exquisite Memory Box and Poppy Stamps dies. I have used one that is called Honeysuckle Vine on this card--I love this die, it's gorgeous!
Full view of the flattened card...
I've coloured my images with my Letraset Promarker and Tria markers and used a few coloured pencils to deepened the shadings. The flowers I have created using the dies and punches listed below. The main background paper I have actually made myself because I couldn't find a DP with the colours for the challenge.
