Since today is the 4th Tuesday of the month, it's time for a new inspiration challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. Here's what I created for my DT project.
This is actually a mini easel card--this is the card front...
which I've mounted on top of a box--decorating it into a gift box. In keeping with the brown theme, I was going to fill with with chocolate hearts, but I couldn't find any at this time of year--may have to wait until Valentine's Day...LOL.
When I look at this picture, I see a lot of browns, white, feathers, window. It took me a while..LOL..to figure out that this is a bride in her wedding gown, so add love and romance to the mix. So I've tried to include all those things into my project.
I hope you will join us in our challenge. For more inspirations, hop over the the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog HERE and have a look at my DT teammates' fabulous cards/projects. For the prize, Diana is offering a $25 Gift Certificate for a shopping spree at her on-line store Magnolia-licious.
The Magnolia images I have used here is of Tilda With Cozy Heart from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection 2012 and the Romantic Window from the Your Are So Special Collection 2011. I've used my markers to colour them.
For your source of Magnolia stamps check out Magnolia-licious. Diana has an excellent selection of both the full size and mini images. Don't overlook the dies--a selection of Memory Box, PoppyStamps, Magnolia Doohickey, Marianne Design and Cheery Lynn--and they are discounted 5%-10%. For a bonus, you also get 2% store credit that you can apply on future orders. How cool is that!
This is what the inside of the easel card looks like... The sentiment is computer generated. I've never decorated with feathers before, but decided to add them because they're featured in the photo. I'm not really sure if I like them or not...hmmm...
