It's a new month so it's a new monthly challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog.
Woo-hoo...this is my first project as a new Design Team member. I'm sooo... excited! I'm really going to enjoy working with the ever so talented ladies there--several were my teammates from the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. Thanks Diana for having me here!
The theme for this month, chosen by our hostess Cabio, is Anything But A Card.
Here's my DT project for the September Challenge at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog.
I got this idea for Tea-Bag Dispensers from my sister a while back. I googled for a tutorial and found one I liked, created by Heidi Baks HERE.
I've made 3 tea-bag dispensers. Each box is for only one type/flavor of tea--and featuring a different Tilda, each sitting on a tea cup. The Tea Cup image is from the Magnolia's Yummy For Your Tummy Collection 2009.
Magnolia stamps are available from Magnolia-licious on-line store. Diana has a vast stamp collection of both the full-size and mini-size images. She also carries cutting dies--Magnolia Doohickey, Memory Box, PoppyStamps, Marianne Design, Cheery Lynn and Joys! Craft. The prices are discounted and for a bonus, you receive a 2% in-store credit to be applied to future purchases. Sweet!
On the first tea-bag dispenser, I have used Tilda as a Star from Sweet Crazy Love Collection 2012.
On the 2nd tea-bag dispenser, I am featuring Pie Tilda from the same collection (link is for the mini stamp--the full-size one currently out of stock).
And on the 3rd one, this is Tilda With Lovely Lace Shoes also from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection 2012.
I have put labels for the names of the teas on the lids.
The sides of the boxes were decorated very simply. If I arrange the boxes on the table side by side in a row, nobody will be looking at the sides anyway...LOL. If I only have the one tea-bag dispenser only or give it out as a gift, then I would probably decorate the sides more elaborately.
Hope you will play along with us in our challenge--you have until the end of the month, so lots of time!--for a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate from Magnolia-licious. For more details on the challenge and more inspirations from the fabulous projects of my DT teammates hop over to the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog, HERE.
