As it's the second Tuesday of the month, we have a new challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. And this is a 'Winter Themed' challenge. For complete details of the challenge and of how to join in the fun, visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. While you're there, check out the fabulous cards that my DT teammates have created to inspire you.
Here is my DT card.
As you can see by the inside, this is actually a 4-step card.
The Magnolia images were coloured with markers, with the help of some coloured pencils to deepen the shadings. The letters for NOEL were cut out by hand.
I like how this card looks in real life because of all the glitter that I've added on the pine branches, the pinecones and all the trees--both on the image and the diecuts. And in this picture taken from a different angle, I'm trying to show you the glittery effect.
Hmm...I'm not sure if you can all the sparkles very clearly...oh well.
These are close-ups of the Magnolia images that I am featuring:
- Christmas Eve Edwin from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013
- Winter Fence from the Santa Collection 2008
- Winter Forest from the Santa Collection 2008
- Jingle Jangle Tilda from the A Christmas Story Collection 2012
- Peaceful Christmas Tree from the Winter Wonderland Collection 2013
Magnolia stamps are available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store where she carries a large selection of both full-size and mini stamps. And if you don't see the particular one you are looking for, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you. Check out also the stamps from Wee Stamps, Wild Rose Studios, Penny Black and Candibeans, along with cutting dies from various companies and other crafting items.
One of the dies, Marianne Designs Christmas Tree LR0136, that I used to create the layered pine trees is available from Magnolia-licious.
A reminder that there is a weekly draw for a Surprise Package Prize just for commenting. All the comments made on the Tuesday Challenges and "W"ednesday postings on all the DT gals' blogs and the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog itself will be entered into the draw.
