A Zentangle Piece

Hello.

I took a short detour from card-making and did something different.  I was in a mood to do some tangling so I created this Zentangle piece.

Don't ask me what it's a picture of...hee hee.  I have no idea!  I started with the four circles and then just keep adding patterns to them.  And that's what I ended up with.

That's it for now.  Thanks for stopping by.  Your visit is always very much appreciated.  Enjoy your   weekend!

Materials and Tools Used:
Paper:  Canson XL Series Watercolor 140 lb (300 gm), 9" x 12"
Markers:  Sakura Pigma Micron 01 and Graphic 1
Pencil:  Soft graphite for shading

  2. Omg! I love ypur zentangle Norma. Such a beautiful harmony ypu created her, I must say that it certainly reflects the artist you are. Same beautiful personal style as in your card. this summer I found a book on zentangles, and got into it, whlie having tea and sitting in the sun! I
Learned a few patterns, and started drawing on little cards. I find it most difficult to draw such small patterns. I admire your composition, it has texture and depth. thank you for sharing your beautiful work. Hugs.

  3. Norma, I hope my comment went through... I write from my tablet and I an scared it did not. I love your zentangle, it is fabulous, so harmoniously put together, i find the same attention to details i see in your cards, which reveals the artist you are. I am curius as to what size of paper you used? As I got into zentangles this summer, each day II practiced a pattern while having tea, on alittle card, as the book suggested. And I must say I find it difficult to work with such precision on a small surface. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. Have a nice day. Xox

  4. Amazing! Just a fabulous piece of artwork. Is it all free hand? I don't think I could make such perfect circles.

  5. Love it! You might consider designing some of the popular coloring books for adults! This would be so fun to color!

  6. Hi Norma, your design popped up in my emails and my first reaction was what a gorgeous digi stamp but then reading I realised it isn't a digi at all but I may not be the only one so you should watermark your artwork Hun so it doesn't get stolen. If you end up selling it as digi I would buy it. It would make a stunning Christmas card but I also see it with an underwater theme and mermaid! Yes I love it! You are an amazing artist Norma.

  7. Brilliant piece of art Norma. Will you add colour or does it stay black and white. Would love to see colour as well only because I am right into colouring at the moment. Would love to give this a go but something a bit simpler I think.
    Hugs
