Just Be'cow'se - Magnolia-licious 'Backgrounds/Animals/Accessories'

Hello.

Our current challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog is 'Animal and Accessory Stamps'--that means no Tilda or Edwin images allowed!  We want you to use animal and/or accessory stamps (that includes backgrounds) on your card/project.  Visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog for complete challenge details and how you can join in the fun.  And check out the fabulous cards that my DT teammates have created for your inspirations.

Here is what I have created for the challenge.

This is actually an easel card...

I made a play on the word 'because' for the sentiment...hee hee.  Cute, eh?

I spent way too much time working on the clovers...yikes, lots of patience but I had fun doing it though.  I was really trying to make them look as much like the real ones as possible...hmmm...I came pretty darn close, don't you think?

I've used a couple of Magnolia stamps to create this meadow scene.  I'm featuring...

- Little Miss Muu Muu from the Summer Memories Collection 2012
- Barbed Wire Background from the Summer Memories Collection 2012

Little Miss Muu Muu was cut out and mounted on pieces of foam tape (not masked).

Magnolia stamps are available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store where she carries a large selection of both full-size and mini Magnolia stamps.  And if you don't see the particular one you are looking for, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.
Check out also the stamps from Wee StampsWild Rose Studios and Candibeans.
Magnolia-licious also carries cutting dies from various companies including Memory BoxPoppyStampsMagnolia Doohickey. and other crafting tools such as Flowers, Prima Chalk Edgers, etc.  Have a look!  The site is sporting a brand new look.

Merry Christmas Diamond-Fold Card

Hello.

I just wanted to add another card to this year's growing-way-to-slow Christmas card collection, so I've made a diamond-fold card which is being put on display here...

or you can display it this way...

I consider this a mini card because when it's folded up, it's a 4-inch square card.

If you're interested in making this type of card, you can find the template HERE.

And as more often than not, the colouring of the image was done with my Letraset markers--Promarkers and Pantone Trias.

Here's a close-up of the cute Tilda being featured...

- Something For You Tilda from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011

Die Cut Swing Card - A Splitcoaststampers Tutorial

Hello!

I've done a tutorial for Splitcoaststampers...woo-hoo.  I was delighted when I was asked to do one.  The tutorial is titled 'Die Cut Swing Card'.

This is the card that I created for the tutorial.

And yes, I've done a similar tutorial for my own blog--which you can find HERE--but as you probably are aware most of the tutorials/templates on my blog are for my preferred-card-size of 6" x 6".  This tutorial I did for Splitcoastampers is for a 5½" x 5½" card, which is also a preferred-card-size to a lot of people.
You can check out the Splitcoaststamper tutorial HERE.

And the written instruction comes with a video tutorial.  Yeah, a big shocker...even to me.  I did my very first video tutorial!  It just goes to show that this old gal isn't too old to learn new things...tee hee.  Still feels weird hearing my own voice though--you know how that is!

This adorable image I used is from Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet and she is called 'Amy'.

The stamp is available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store.

Check out the rest of the Wee Stamps Collection HERE and of course Magnolia stamps, both full-size and mini.  And if you don't see the particular one you are looking for, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.
Check out also the stamps from Wild Rose Studios and Candibeans.
Magnolia-licious also carries cutting dies from various companies including Memory BoxPoppyStampsMagnolia Doohickey. and other crafting tools such as Scor-tapes, Prima Chalk Edgers, flowers, etc.  Have a look!
Prices are discounted, you get excellent customer service and what's more, you get to earn 2% credit to be applied to future purchases.  Sweet!

I might as well use this card to enter some challenges:

It's the little Things... - FFFC #118 It's All About Girls

Hello.  Happy Friday!

We're starting a new challenge at the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge. It's the lovely Sheryl who's hosting this challenge and the theme is 'It's All About Girls'.  We're also being sponsored by Fresh Brewed Designs.  Make sure you hop over to Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge to get complete details of the challenge and how you can join in the fun.

My card for this challenge is a swing card.

The adorable image that I used is a digital stamp called 'Ladybug Hello' and is available from A Day For Daisies and can be found in their store HERE.

I used my coloured pencils this time to do the colouring...mostly.  The background was done with my markers.

This card is actually the end result of a tutorial I made for Splitcoaststampers which will be posted next week.  If you're interested in seeing how I put this card together, I'll be editing this posting and put the link to the tutorial once it's posted.
Edited:  click HERE for the Splitcoaststampers tutorial.

It's A Beautiful Day Slider Card - Magnolia-licious 'Summer Buggy Fun'

Hello.
To my fellow Canadians, Happy Canada Day!

Our current challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog is 'Summer Buggy Fun'--we want you to include cute bugs, butterflies on your card/project.  We're midway into this challenge, so you have another week to enter.  Visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog for complete challenge details and how you can join in the fun.  And have a look at what my DT teammates have created for inspirations.

I saw Kathrin's tutorial on a Pull-Tab Slider Card at the Stempeleinmaleins--it's a fabulous blog with lots and lots of tutorials--and it inspired me to try making my own slider card.

And so...this is what I came up with.

You pull out the hidden sliding panel to reveal a full view of the Tilda image and a message at the same time.

And inside the card, I took it a step further and created another slider scene.  This time you push the sliding panel back in to its original hidden position...

and voila...a full image of another Tilda is revealed.  Neat, eh?

Here's a full view of the card inside.  Love the design on the gorgeous purple paper.

I really like this slider-card style--just love the surprise elements it has.  I will have to make more slider cards!

These are the Tilda images being featured:

- Hello Little Butterfly from the Butterfly Dreams Collection 2011

- Kneeling Tilda from the Sweet Rainbow Collection 2011
