A great day for a lollipop

A happy Sunday to all!

I've created a card with another one of the images from the In2stamps new Elmit and Littlebell Collection. This one is called, well....of course, Elmit with Lollipop. Elmit just looks so adorable here.

I have used this sketch that was presented by Chrissie for Challenge 31 at Sketch and Stash. As you can see, I've flipped her sketch over by 90 degrees. The new stash is of course the new stamp which can be purchased from their on-line In2stamps store.

I am also using this card as my entry into the challenge at Passion for Promarkers for their Week 44. The theme is springtime creations but you must include an animal. The card does look springy, doesn't it? And you have to look carefully for the animal...the caterpillar peeking from behind Elmit's right foot...LOL.

The theme for Susies Sassy Challenge #11 is Spring Garden.

Charisma Cardz Challenge #12 has Spring Has Sprung as their theme.

At Hand Full of Stamps, the theme for their Challenge #21 is You're Sweet One.`

I've made this into another easel card.

I don't have much more to say about the card.

Thank you so much for your visits and your kind and encouraging comments. I love to read them. I'm trying to to reciprocate and leave comments at other bloggers' postings, but sigh...(big sigh)...am doing a very poor job at it!!! Bear with me. Bye for now.

Stamps: In2stamps Elmit with Lollipop, bith sentiment stamps from Inkadinkadoo.
DP's: Fiskars Heidi Grace Design Vineyard Flowers Decor (discontinued I think), Creating Keepsakes Mini Daisies Green, Making Memories Big Dot Rouge Paperie.
Tools: Martha Stewart daisy punch, McGill daisy punches, EK Success border punch, McGill twig punch, Punch Bunch leave punch.
Misc.: Making Memories brads, Kaiser Craft pearls mango, Mark Richards cabochons light pink, buttons and ribbons from my stash.

Blog Candy Winner!

Hello and happy Saturday!! (Finally!!!)

So, I was feeling a bit lonely the past few days when I thought everybody forgot about me....LOL. As it turned out I was having a bit of a problem with my e-mails. I could send them out, but not received. So I had to wait a bit longer to make this posting until I got the problem taken care of. I just spent what seems like a couple of hours with my internet-provider person and I think it's fixed now. I hope. For those of you who sent me an e-mail within the past few days, I will reply to it soon.

Okay now straight to the point.....the winner of my blog candy (as chosen my random.org) is...

#177 Elenka8791

Elenka, please e-mail me at norma.lee@telus.net and let me know your mailing address and I will send the blog candy your way.

The response to my blog candy was overwhelming. I was simply floored--I never thought... And of course then I was feeling a little bad that I only had the one to give away.

As you may know, Vancouver (that's where I live), was the host for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. I was sending these small souvenirs from the Games to some of my friends. It's the cutest thing. It's my favorite mascot from the Games--we had 4 mascots. His name is Mukmuk and he is a marmot. The item is a keychain. Here's a picture...

Isn't he adorable!!! I just fell in love with him. Then I thought, hey, this would make a nice small consolation price. So I bought 10 more that I will give away to 10 lovely ladies. Okay, sorry, this has nothing to do with your crafting, it's just a momento. And you know, if you don't care for it, you can always give it away...

So I have let random.org picked the numbers again.

Here's the list:

144 libeeti
251 Kendra
38 Malin E
129 Rosemary Bridges
21 Sarah A
95 Sophie
219 rotem
335 Mayra
74 Debbie
43 Danielle Lord

So, ladies, if you care to have a Mukmuk keychain, please e-mail me (norma.lee@telus.net) and I will pop one into one of those bubble envelope and mail it to you.

Hugs to all. Thanks for participating. Enjoy your weekend!

A very merry merry Christmas - Christmas All Year Long Blog Hop

Hello and a happy Thursday!

Being the 25th of the month, it's time for another blog hop for the Christmas All Year Long Group of our Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group. This is our third blog hop. The aim of the group is to post a Christmas card on the 25th of each month. You can find the list of participants at the Group's blog site here. If you want to start at the beginning of the blog hop, click here to go to Julie's blog.

If you're following this blog hop, you would have come here from Monique's blog. And the next site to visit after me is Patricia's blog.

Here is my March Christmas card.

This is my first time making this type of card--it's called a side step card. I'm still struggling with the measurements and placements of the back panel as I had to make alterations. The template which can be found here is for a finished 4" x 4" card. Mine is a 6" x 6" card.

I'm making this a short posting as I am late with it. Sorry. I was late finishing the card. OMG, I didn't even put any embelishments--that's a rare sight!

Thank you so much for all your visits and your lovely comments. Enjoy your day!

To continue with this blog hop, the next stop is Patricia.

Stamps: Magnolia Tilda with Gifts and Unwrapped Tilda.

DP: Basic Grey eskimo kisses snow globe.

Blog Candy Alert!

***This blog candy is now closed. Will announce the winner, oh by Saturday, I think. Thanks to all for participating.***

Hello!

I have put together a blog candy as today is my one-year blogoversary. This is a way to thank you all for your support. Thanks to all who wrote me such lovely and encouraging comments and also to all who visited just to have a look and see what I am up to. This past year has been more gratifying than I could have imagined. I can't tell you how much this has all meant to me.

Here's a list of the sweet stuff I've included in the candy:

- 21 DP cardstocks - 8 Basic Grey Wassail collection, 7 The Paper Company Studio, 6 Creative Imaginations,
- 2 Magnolia stamps from Raising the Ceiling collection - Happy Tilda, Wilma with Rose,
- JustRite DIY Monogram Stamper Kit,
- K&Company 20-piece clear stamp set Que Sera Sera,
- Tim Holtz Distress Stickles - set of 3: Worn Lipstick, Antique Linen and Broken China,
- Blue Moon Bits & Baubles Charms - 2 pkgs: 7-piece nautical, 7-piece strawberries & mushrooms,
- 5 paper roses,
- Crystal Sticker pearl clusters, 1 pkg.,
- Studio 18 rhinestones/blings, 3 pkgs of various colours,
- 15 ribbons from my stash - 2 yards each (mostly solid colours, a few printed), and
- a couple of handful of buttons from my button box.

I don't want this to last too long. As my birthday is also in this month on the 25th, I will use that as the end date. So this will run from Mar. 13th to the 25th, 2010, midnight my local time--that would be Pacific Daylight Savings Time. Don't forget to move your clock one hour ahead tonight (or in the wee hours of Sunday morning, yikes...). I think that is enough time, don't you?

This is open to everyone. I will send it to the winner (randomly picked) in any part of the world where postal service is available...LOL.

To be entered into the draw, just a few steps to follow:
1. Help spread the word around by putting a picture of my blog candy on the side panel of your blog with a link back to my blog.
2. Enter your name in the Mr. Linky below. A comment would be much appreciated, but it's not mandatory.
That's all. And good luck!

easter greetings

I have created this Easter card using this Easter chick image that Jolanda has sent me from her shop, Cards Etc. Shop. Isn't it just adorable?

Jolanda is from the Netherlands. She has started her own on-line shop. She sells her own Digi Stamps and Cuttingfiles…

Digi Stamps – printable stamps to resize, print and colour
Cuttingfiles - files in SVG or Scut format to cut with your Cricut (Expression) using the 'Sure Cuts a Lot' or 'Make The Cut' software! – bags and boxes and shaped cards.

All these files are downloads, so no shipping costs and no waiting for the mail carrier!
And you can pay with PayPal. You can hop over to Jolanda’s store here.

I wanted to use both images on the same card, so I decide to do a gate fold card. I went looking through the current challenges and found this sketch at Sketch Saturday.

While searching through the challenges, I also found the following challenges that I can use this card as my entry to:

Stamp With Fun -- Challenge #51 - Easter
Stamping for the Weekend -- Challenge #35 - Easter
A Spoon Full of Sugar -- Challenge 95 - Easter
Allsorts -- Week 44 Spring is in the Air
Secret Crafter Saturday -- Challenge 75 - Spring has Sprung
Crafty Catz -- Challenge # 24 - Spring
The second image is of course for the inside of the card.

That's it for today. Thanks for visiting. Appreciate you dropping by. Enjoy your day!

Stamps: Digi stamps from Card Etc. Shop. Sentiment is computer generated.
DP's: Chatterbox Scrapbook Walls violet dahlias and light parlor stripe. I don't know the make of the ochre-coloured paper--not writing on the back.
Tools: Martha Stewar border punch rings, Marvy Uchida scallop circle punch, Colluzle circle template.
Misc.: Reflections half pearls.

Missed your birthday

Hello!

I've made a belated birthday card. I am always needing one, as I tend to forget someone's birthday or I tend to procrastinate and leave it until the last minute to send a card...LOL. I have used an In2stamps image called Sad Littlebell from the new Elmit & Littlebell collection. With her sad expression, I thought she would be perfect for a so-sorry card.

I have used this sketch of Jacque that she has created for Friday Sketchers #93 Challenge.

This card is also for the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 103 - Celebrations

Night Shift Stamping Challenge #7 - Flower Power without end!

Crafty Calendar Challenge # 6 - Flower Power

Paper Cutz Challenge #32 - Anything Goes

The colours I've chosen are to match the ones on this gorgeous designer paper I found--or at least I tried to match them.
That's all. Thanks for visiting.

Stamp: In2stamps Sad Littlebell --can be purchased from the In2stamps on-line store.
DP's: Paper Adventures Karen Newburger design called Sangria Afterglow Blossom, Hot off the Press Paper Pizazz Jacie's Vintage Papers.
Tools: Martha Stewart daisy and leaf punches, McGill daisy punch, EK Success small retro flower punch.
Misc.: Kaiser Craft pearls yellow, Making Memories brads.

...continued (from Feb. 16, 2010 post)

Hello.
Oops, I almost forgot... I don't have a new card today. This is just to finish off showing an easel card that I made several postings ago. I said I was going to show you the rest of the project. It was a birthday card for a special friend, so I hope she was a bit surprised of the end result of my card.

I wanted to send her punchies of some of my flower punches. I stuffed them all into those little drawers. Tutorial for the gift box can be found at Kirsten blog--I think I've got a permanent link to her blog...LOL. I love making these boxes.

That's all for today.

My blog candy tomorrow!!! Am trying to figure out how that Mr. Linky works. I think I figured it out but if not, I may be back screaming for some help here...LOL. Have a wonderful day!

O happy happy day

Hello. Happy Tuesday!

I just got this Magnolia Happy Tilda image and just couldn't wait to colour her. I've made another easel card, which has got to be my favorite type of card now I think.

I have made the face of this card using Jacque's sketch that she's created for the March DT Sketch challenge at Magnolia-licious Highlites.

I've also incorporated other features into the card so that I can use it as my entry into the following challenges:

All That Scraps Wednesday Weekly Challenge - Dots and Stripes.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Mothers Day/Girly Challenge.
Lili of the Valley Challenge 48 - Easel Card.
Fussy & Fancy Friday Challenge 5 - Movies: It's a Beautiful Life.
Stamp Something Challenge - Something Girly.
Cupcake Craft Challenges - Challenge 81...Flower Power.

I was going to put some 3-D flowers on the bottom section of the easel card, but the picture of that bouquet of flowers on the DP is sooo... gorgeous that I decided to use that instead. I glued one of the picture onto a cardstock, cut it out and prop it on some foam-tape squares/dimentionals and used that as a stopper for the card.

That's all for this card.

A little announcement here. I have a blog candy coming up in several days. March 13 is my one-year blog anniversary. My birthday is also in this month on the 25th, so I'll run the blog candy between the 2 dates.
Thanks for visiting my blog. If you'd be so kind as to leave me a comment, I'd appreciate that very much. Have a wonderful day!

Stamp: Magnolia Happy Tilda from the Raising the Ceiling collection, All Night Media Posh Impressions Grass rubber stamp.
DP's: Brown-dot paper from me&my BIG idea value pack paper pad Fashion District, Chatterbox Scrapbook Walls collection Saddle Plaid, the paper with the flowers from Hot Off the Press Paper Pizazz Jacie's Vintage Papers.
Tools: Martha Stewart border punch.
Misc.: Making Memories brads.

Balloon bonanza

Hello!

This is a very short posting. Just wanted to show this male birthday card that I've made. The dreaded male card...yikes...so I've kept it very simple.

I've used the sketch that Julee has designed for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge - MOJO128.

This card is also my entry into the following challenges:
Double Dutch Challenge #38 - Boys Only
Roses on Paper Challenge 32 - A card for men or boys
All Sorts Challenge Week 32 - Just for Men
Creative Inspirations Challenge 29 - a Male Card
Creative Card Crew - Celebrations

It's a very colourful card. I don't know who the manufacturer of the DP is. I found the paper in the dollar store and I thought it would be perfect for a birthday card. There was no writing on the back of the paper.

That's all for today. Thanks for visiting. Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

Stamps: Magnolia Heartbreaker Edwin from the Raising the Ceiling Collection (can be purchased form Magnolia-licious).
Tools: EK Success border punch.
Misc.: Making Memories brads, Darice pearl stickers.

Here I Come! - In2stamps March Challenge

Hello! Happy March!

This is the beginning of a new month and it's a new monthly challenge at In2stamps. The for theme for the March Challenge is easel card.

I have made use of this sketch Domi that she has created for Lili of the Valley. Thanks, Domi.

The In2stamps adorable image that I have used is called 'Here I Come!' from their Baby Collection. You can purchase it directly from the In2stamps on-line store where you can also find links to other retail stores.

I am also challenging myself with ABC Challenge of O is for one paper (that does mean one designer paper, right?--not counting card stock?) .

When I first saw the Happy New Year card that Marion (Only by His Grace) has made and I so like her flower-and-leave arrangement, I knew that I was going to totally case it sooner or later. Okay, okay...it's only more or less similar to hers, but I'm okay with it. Thanks so much, Marion.

If you would like to participate in the challenge, you can find all the details at the In2stamps Challenges blog. The prize is any three (3) In2Stamps images of your choice and the complete Basic Grey Collection Origins 6" x 6" papers (oooh, I like those papers--have to get some for myself!). Also check out the wonderful creations of the other DT members there.

That's all for today. Have a wonderful day. Thank you so much for visiting. And for those of you who leaves me a comment that make my day, a double thank you.

Stamps: In2stamps Here I Come! from the Baby Collection, 'Welcome to the world little one' sentiment from Studio G Collete Hall Design Series 24.
DP: Cloud 9 Design Baby Girl Chitchat.
Tools: Martha Stewart border punch lattice, Colluzle oval template, Provo Craft decorative scissor.
Misc: Mark Richards cabochons light pink, Recollections pearls.
