On Your Wedding Day - FFFC #174 'Bingo'

Hello.

We're starting a new challenge at the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge.  The lovely Nikki is our hostess for this challenge and she has created a 'Bingo' board for you to work with.  Our challenge is being sponsored Live and Love Crafts.  Don't forget to hop over to the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge to get complete details and to have a look at what my teammates have created to inspire you to join us.

Here's what I've created for the challenge, a wedding card.

Below is the Bingo board that you get to work with.  For my card, I went with the diagonal option of flowers-lace-pearls, as well as the bottom row of pearls-charms-dies.

I love the white-on-white colour scheme for a wedding card.  The background paper is actually an white embossed designer paper, although the dry-embossing is not very deep/pronouced so you can barely see the vine-embossed pattern.  So for added texture, I've embossed another piece of plain white cardstock with polka-dot pattern.  And then more whites from the lace, flowers, foliage and pearls.  The two pewter heart charms were added to match the groom.

A closer look at the adorable bride-and-groom image being featured.

This image is called 'Wedding Couple' from Lili of the Valley.

I hope you'll join our challenge.  Please hop over to the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge to get complete details of the challenge.  Don't forget to check out what my teammates have created to inspire you to play along with us.

Congratulations on your Wedding Day

Hello.

I've got just a short post today.  I have a wedding card to share with you.

No designer/patterned paper used as I wanted to keep it all white (except for the dark grey frames).   I used an embossing folder for added texture.  Then embellished it with ribbon, diecuts, flowers, pearls, etc. for a more 3-D effect.

A closer look at this gorgeous Stamping Bella image being featured.  I luvvv this image!

This stamp is called Uptown Couple Brett and Brenda Get Married (available from the Stamping Bella shop HERE.)

For a Special Couple

Hello.

Here's a wedding card I made at my sister's request.  Friends of hers will be getting married sometime this month.

I'm almost replicating here a wedding card that I made a few years ago, using the same bride-and-groom image.  My sister particularly liked that card and she wanted one just like it but in a different colour scheme.  The wedding colours include navy blue and very light blue, so I've made this card to match.

I didn't have any light blue patterned paper to use for the background, so I took a very light blue cardstock and embossed it instead.

A closer look at the oh-so-adorable image designed by Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps.

This image is called 'Love Me Do'.  I've used the digital stamp version (which you can find HERE), but if you prefer the rubberstamp, that's also available from Whimsy Stamps HERE.

I've used alcohol-based ink markers to colour the image along with a few coloured pencils.

Vow Renewal Congrats

Hello.

My sister asked me to make a card for a couple that were renewing their vows.  Their favorite colours are blue and yellow, so she wanted a card with that colour scheme but for the rest, she left it up to me.

Here's the card I created and I'm happy to say that my sister was pleased with it...yay.

This adorable image I've used is a Precious Moments digi stamp.

I wasn't really sure of what image is appropriate for a vow renewal card, but I thought this one might do.  I've colored it with a combination of markers and coloured pencils--sorry though, but I couldn't be bothered with jotting down the colours I used this time.

For A Special Couple - Magnolia-licious 'W"ednesday #58

Hello!  Happy Wednesday!

It's time for another "W"ednesday Post at the Magnolia-licious Challenge.  Wednesdays are when the DT gals take turns showcasing on our cards the other stamps beside Magnolia stamps that the Magnolia-licious on-line store carries.  Today it's Katie's and my turns to participate.  This is the last "W"ednesday Post for the year--we'll be taking a break for the month of December.

I'm taking a slight detour from all the Christmas cards and decided to make a wedding card instead.

Don't know why I went with purple/lavender/lilac tone.  Probably just because I haven't made a card with those shades for a while...tee hee.  And this is how I've decorated the inside of my card.

Close-up of the coloured image...

This adorable image is called Love Me Do designed by Sylvia Zet of Wee Stamps.

The stamp for this image is available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store.  See the rest of the Wee Stamps collection HERE.

To love and be loved

Hello!

It's the 4th Tuesday of July--I can't believe it's already the last week in July!--which means it's time for our inspiration challenge a the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. This is my DT card.

This is the picture that Linda has chosen for the inspiration challenge.

This picture had me thinking of a square card of lots and lots of white, with red trims, a love theme, an image of a couple and a touch of blue somewhere.

This was just the perfect challenge as I needed to make a wedding card for a co-worker of mine who is getting married in September. Woo-hoo...so now at least I have something to give her.

I've made this an easel card, of course. I so love this style of card--such an easy way to put your card on display.

The adorable couple is a Magnolia image called Loving Bridal Couple from the Wedding Collection 2010. This image/stamp is available at Magnolia-licious on-line store HERE.

Because I was trying to keep this card mostly white, I didn't use any designer paper. So...lots of textures and 3-D stuff!!! I made use of my embossing folders--which I tend to ignore...LOL, punches and dies.

I hope you will join us in our inspiration challenge. Please visit the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to have a look at the fabulous cards of my DT teamates and for more inspirations. Links to their personal blogs are on my sidebar also. There is also the prize of a $25.00 gift certificate from Magnolia-licious on-line store.

As for me, LOL, I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 90 - Punch or Die
Magnolia Down Under - Challeng #106 - Use Paper Tole or 3D on your card/project
Sir Stampalot - July Challenge - Anything Goes
7 Kids College Fun - Challenge #26 - Textures

That's it for now. Thanks for taking the time to stop by. I very much appreciate your visit and your encouraging comments. Enjoy your day!

Tools: Spellbinders Heart Circles and Rose Creations dies, Magnolia Doohickey Swirl die, Nellie Snellen Leaf punch and embosser, Martha Stewart Rose Leaf and Large Lace Scallopped Heart punches, Cuttlebug Heart Blocks and Oriental Weave embossing folders, Sizzix Love Set embossing folder.

Winter wedding

Hello! Happy Wednesday! We're halfway through the week, yeah!

This is my second and last week at the Designer Spotlight at Simons Says Challenge. I've enjoyed my time with them. Thanks to Chris and the other DT members at Simon Says for giving me the opportunity.

Their theme for their challenge is Winter Love. Well, the theme that I was given was more specific and it was winter wedding, so I was trying to make a wedding card, hee hee. When I was first informed of the theme, my first reaction was...oh oh, am I in trouble!!! I don't have any bride-and-groom images. What should I do, what should I do?... Anyway, this was a real challenge--strained my brain, LOL--and this is what I finally came up with.

Now, since I still don't have a bride and groom, what I've done is made a card featuring Tilda as a flower girl. I don't know if that's appropriate or not for a wedding card, but hey, I have to make do with what I've got, hee hee. This is sort of a short story of Flower Girl Tilda on the wedding day/morning. At the front of the card, she is helping out by placing the bride-and-groom caketop on the wedding cake (aha..I do have a bride and groom!!! hee hee!) .

And in the inside of the card, Tilda is sitting by the church window waiting for the bride to come out, so she can start walking down the aisle.

To make these flower girls, I've done a bit of masking with 2 Tilda images and used the image of a flower garland from another Tilda.
I was supposed to make this a winter wedding. The only thing I could think of was using winter colours. That what I did here and went with blue, white and silver.
Okay, not a traditional wedding card, but I'm quite pleased with how this turned out anyway. Hope you like it too.

Now I must get back to those Christmas cards!!! Yikes, exactly one month before Christmas!!! Full steam ahead now.
Have a wonderful day everybody. Thanks for visiting.

Stamps: Magnolia Tilda Decorate Christmas Tree, Jam Tilda, Church Window and flower garland cut out from Tilda with Flower Garland in Hair; wedding cake and bride-&-groom cake top from American Crafts Brand clear stamp set Wedding.
