Sweet Wishes
Wow, last day of the year!!! So I guess this is my last card to show you for 2011. It can be a Happy New Year card if you only see the front of the card, but it's actually a birthday card.
This Magnolia image is called Celebration 1 Tilda. She was at one time an exclusive stamp for Creashop Duymelot, but she is now part of Sweet Crazy Love Collection 2012 and available from Diana's on-line store Magnolia-licious where you and I can get all kind of stuff that are Magnolia--stamps, doohikey cutting dies, magazines (along with discounts and store credits).
This is how I've decorated the inside of the card. Not much embellishments except for those Memory Box die cuts. Don't you just love those exquisite designs from Memory Box? The Memory Box dies are also available from Magnolia-licious here.
The adorable gal sitting there is called Tilda with Pie--yeah, I keep looking for a pie to go with this image, but no sign of it anywhere...LOL. She is also from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection 2012.

Last Christmas card for 2011
Happy Boxing Day! I did my little bit of boxing-day shopping and got my TV at a good deal...woo-hooo...
I'm showing you my last Christmas card for the year and was mailed out rather later than I planned...LOL--as I did with ALL of my Christmas cards. I had better planned better for next year! But then I say that every year...haa haa.
I have used a Go-Kreate die for the shape of this card, which I had to order all the way from the UK as I couldn't find a retailer in North America. Ouch on my pocket book--I think I had to pay a custom fee to boot. Oh well...I love the shapes of their dies though.
This is my all time favorite angel (so far...LOL) that I have coloured with my markers. The adorable image is Sitting Angel Tilda from Magnolia's last year's Christmas collection, A Merry Little Christmas Collection 2010.
I get my Magnolia stamps from Diana's on-line store Magnolia-licious. Diana has a fabulous selection of Magnolia stamps, doohickey cutting dies, magazines. Check out the Memory Box, Maryanne Designs and Cheery Lynn dies too!
I love using this colour combo on my Christmas cards. The red is brownish red and the green is olive green.
I made this into an easel card, which is my fave type of cards and I kept it rather clean as I was in a rush to finish it, so not too much in terms of embellishments.
Challenges I am entering with this card:
Passion for Promarkers - Week 129 - Celebrations
Paper Sundaes Challenge #100 - Celebrate
Simon Says Stamps - Let's Play Bingo (ribbon/twine--ratafia, punches/die cuts, multifold)

Stampin' For the Weekend Challenge #23 - Anything Goes

Well, I think that's it for me today. Now have to start making birthdays cards. I have several of those to make and yikes... a couple of them are belated birthday cards.

Merry Christmas everyone!
Sorry I have been ignoring my blog. I have had to work right up until Friday and since then have been doing a lot of shopping and cooking. And whenever I got around to my computer, I got distracted by looking on-line for the best boxing-day deal for a tv. Yup, since my tv went kablooie..LOL, I am in market for a new tv and this is the perfect time to get it--either on-line or by personal shopping. Anyway, enough blah blah blah....
I have a few minutes here before I am off to my sister's place with my potluck dishes, so I just want to wish those of you who celebrate Christmas a very Happy Christmas and the rest of you a Happy Holiday. Enjoy yourself and please stay safe!
Hugs,

Season's Greetings - pop-up card
Here's another surprise pop-up card. I like the first one I made a couple of weeks ago, so I made another.
This adorable image I've coloured with my markers is from last year's Magnolia's A Merry Little Christmas Collection 2010 and she is called Jolly Tilda.
I get my Magnolia stamps from Diana's on-line store Magnolia-licious. Diana has a fabulous selection of anything and everything Magnolia (stamps--regular size and mini version, doohickey cutting dies, magazines ...) and she gives excellent service, along with discounts and store credits. Check out the Memory Box, Maryanne Designs and Cheery Lynn dies too!
With this type of surprise pop-up card, there's a tab at the back that you are suppose to pull out. This will reveal a surprise message/sentiment and at the same time, pop up your image.
HERE's a link to an excellent tutorial made by Beate Johns for Splitcoast Stampers.)
I have a second surprise message/sentiment that I've put on the pull-out tab. I've another Tilda cutie here called Holding Tilda--this one is from this year's Magnolia Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011--but this one is actually the mini version.
Challenges I am enterring with this card:
Aud Sentiments Challenge #43 - Any winter holiday sentiment
Crafts and Me Challenge #65 - Christmas
Dutch Dare Card Challenges DDCC #143 - Tic Tac Toe (middle horizontal line - embossing, stamped image/sentiment, die cuts)
Paper Play Challenges Week 50 - Christmas
Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge 22 - Christmas
Passion for Promarkers - Week 129 - Celebrations
That's it for now. Thanks for taking the time to drop by. I appreciate the visit. Hmm...I'm still not quite finished with my Christmas-card making. Still a few more cards to make for people at work, so at least I don't have to mail them but can hand them over in person...LOL..--thankful for any little blessing. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Silent night, holy night
It's the 2nd Tuesday of the month so it's time for a new challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. This is also our only challenge for December as the 4th Tuesday is too close to Christmas, so we're taking a break.
We also have 2 new members, Jane and Katie, joining our Designer Team.
Okay, so the theme for our challenge, chosen by our lovely Lady Diana of Magnolia-licious is STARS. Diana wants to see stars, stars, star...lots of them!!! And here's my DT card.
I saw a star card made by I-can't-remember-who-now--sorry, but she gave me a link to a tutorial which I quickly added to my 'favorites'. Here's the link to Bella Mio's tutorial. I was intrigued by it and knew that sooner or later I was going to try making one. LOL...it's taken me a year to make it. Anyway, I thought a star card would be perfect for this challenge.
One of the paper is one that I handstamped. I was looking for a DP with lots of stars, but couldn't find one in my stash--at least not one with the right colours. So had to make my own.
Those adorable images are mini Tildas from Magnolia. They are from left, top to right: Mini Winter Tilda, Mini Midwinter Tilda and Tilda in Winter Night.
When you unfold the card , you can see that the base of the card is a triangle. It measures 12"x12"x12".
Here's a hint if you want to try your hands at making this type of card: when you're using DP's to decorate, use scrapbook papers, not scrapbook cardstocks. The cardstock makes the card too stiff. I was struggling to tuck one of the folds underneath another--too thick to bend easily.
This is Silent Night Tilda from the So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Collection 2009.
I get all my Magnolia stamps from Diana's on-line store Magnolia-licious. Diana has a fabulous selection of anything and everything Magnolia (stamps--regular size and minis, doohickey cutting dies, magazines ...), fabulous discounts and store credits too!
Don't know if I can just choose one Tilda as my favorite, but I think she's in the running for it...LOL. Hey, how about you...do you have one very very very favorite Tilda?
I've done my colouring for this card with my coloured pencils. I thought the minis would be easier to colour with them also than with markers...but it wasn't really.
I used lots of glitter for this card. Almost everything white I've covered with glitter, the swirls/flourishes, the fur trims, the pompoms on the hat and the houses in the background.
I am entering the following challenges with this card:
Christmas Card All Year ‘Round Challenge for December – Anything Goes
Creatalicious Challenge 28 – Christmas and make it sparkle
Paper Sundaes Challenge #99 - Anything Christmas
Simply Magnolia - Christmas Challenge

Winter Birthday - Guest DT Card
I was given the opportunity to join Nikki's fabulous DT ladies at her Bunny Zoe's Crafts Challenge for their December monthly challenge. Woo-hoooooo..... And here is my card.
The theme for their Challenge # 19 is Fancy Folds/Shaped Cards. I took both options to mind...LOL...and made and oval-shaped easel card.
And as a guest DT, I get to choose a stamp from Nikki's Store Bunny Zoe's Crafts to use on my card. I've chosen this adorable Magnolia image called Tilda with Winter Flowers from their Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011.
What a sweetie! And so versatile--that I've made a birthday card instead of a Chistmas card. I've coloured Tilda using my coloured pencils.
Challenges I am entering with this card:
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Challenge #191 - Anything Goes
Stampalot December Challenge - Bingo (my three are: pearls, flowers, punch)

Let it Snow! - mini easel card
I'm using one of my favorite images from Magnolia's Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011. This adorable image is called Winter Tilda. Check out the Collection at Diana's on-line store Magnolia-licious. Diana has a fabulous selection of anything and everything Magnolia (stamps--regular size and mini version, doohickey cutting dies, magazines ...) and discounts and store credit too!
I've coloured her with my markers. I've added some glitter to the pompoms on her hat and her muffs. The trees are also a Magnolia image called Winter Forest from the Santa Collection 2008. I've added some liquid applique for the snow covering the tree branches.
This is a mini easel card. I've had these sets of Spellbinders Octagons and Scallopped Octagons sets that I haven't used before. I used the largest die in the set for the base and it measures only 4 1/4 inches across, so it's a small card.
And I've added a swing away panel to the bottom section of the card. Hidden underneath is blank space to write my personal message.
I did a tutorial last year for this type of mini easel card using my circles dies. The link is HERE if you're interested.
Challenges I am entering with this card:
Cute Card Thursday - Challenge 94 - Anything Goes
Colour Create – Challenge 85 – Red, White and Green. Optional extra: snowflakes
Just Magnolia hAnglar & sTanglar - I'm dreaming of a white Christmas (use white or snow/snowflakes)
Winter Wonderland - Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Basic Grey - Challenge 58 - Anything Goes (DP used is BG Wassail greetings)
Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 110 - Let it snow!
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
That's it for now. Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by. I appreciate the visit during this very busy season.
Materials and Tools Used:
Stamp other than mentioned above: GCS Artstamps 'Let It Snow'
DP: Basic Grey Wassail Greetings
Dies: Spellbinders Nestabilities Octagons and Scallopped Octagons
Punches: Martha Stewart various punches of snowflakes
Miscellaneous: Tim Holtz distress ink stamp pad Vintage Photo, MS Crystal Fine Glitter; Jewels Glitter Ritz Micro-Fine Glitter Cool Highlights; Marvy Uchida Liquid Applique

Surprise Pop-Up Card
The past 48 hours was NOT fun for me. My computer crashed!!! Aaarrrggghhh!!! Lots of cursing/swearing and frustrations while trying to get it working again. It wasn't pretty...LOL. Couldn't get it to work and as a last resort had to restore my laptop back to it's original manufacturer settings. Ughhh! This was something I (or anybody else) don't need right now (or anytime). Lots more Christmas cards to finish!!! Lost time! ...sorry, just venting my frustrations...LOL.
***Editing***
An evening update...Oh, my weekend had a lovely ending afterall.
First, I had a wonderful lunch with Diana, the owner of Magnolia-licious and Scor-Pal. Yes!!! I finally got to meet this lovely lady face to face. I've put a picture of us below at the bottom of this posting.
And second, I was able to restore my laptop with some advice from my sister--she's much much more computer savvy than me. I'm so computer illiterate. A bit more tweaking to do, but woo-hooo.....
***
Anyway, here's a card that I just finished.
A close-up of this adorable gal from Magnolia's So Jolly & Under The Mistletoe Collection 2009. This is Cozy Tilda.
Check out Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store for anything and everything Magnolia. You will find a large selection of the full-size as well as the mini version of Magnolia stamps. Magnolia doohickey cutting dies are available there also. New in stock are Marianne Design and Cheery Lynn dies. And check out the Memory Box dies for pre-order--they are simply gorgeous!!! Diana offers discounts, excellent services and you can earn store credits also!
This is a new type of card that I haven't done before. It is called a surprise pop-up card. I saw this type of card on Patti Jo's blog--that lovely lady give me lots of inspirations--and said I've got to do one of those! And Beate Johns has made an excellent tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers here.
The way this works is there is a little tab at the top of the card that you pull out...
and it reveals a hidden message--your surprise!!!
And at the same time the panel that is hiding the message pops up. Cool, eh!
A few challenges I would like to enter with this card:
Simon Says Stamps - Anything Goes!
Just Magnolia hAnglar & sTanglar - Anything Goes with option of sprakles
Polka Doodles - Week 48 Challenge - Secret Element Christmas Card
Charisma Cardz Challenge 47 - Spots
Crafts and Me - Challenge #63 - Pearls and Swirls
That's it for now.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Your visit is always very much appreciated. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. 20 days and counting....yikes!!!
