Merry Christmas To You!

Hello, everyone!  And a Merry Christmas to all of you!  I hope you're all having or going to have a fabulous time with family and friends.

Okay, I promise this is the last advent calendar card that you are going to see on my blog...that is the last card this year!  LOL.  I had planned for this card to be posted on Christmas day, so I've set the advent calendar date to Dec. 25 when I took the pictures, before giving the card to my sister and her family.

This image of Tilda in Winter Light, is I think still my all time favorite Christmas Tilda...or one of...LOL  She is from the Merry Little Christmas Collection 2010 from Magnolia.  The bench is a CC Designs Sugarplums Park Bench image.

Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store, is an excellent source for your Magnolia images.  You can find both full-size and mini stamps.  However if you can't find the one you want there--like this Tilda one because it's out of stock as it's from a 2010 collection--ask the lovely Diana if she can bring it in for you.
Oh, and check out also the adorable images from the upcoming With Love Collection 2013.  They are ready for pre-orders!

I've coloured my images with markers--Letraset Promarkers and Pantonte Trias.  I didn't do any masking, but rather I've cut the Tilda image out and then for an added 3D effect mount her on foam tape.  I've used some liquid appliqué to add patches of snow on the bench and the overhanging branches and pinecones--I love that liquid appliqué! My friend Christine--she's a doll-- sent me a tube of that stuff.  A tube goes a long way!  Thanks, Christine!
Don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but I added glitter to the snowflakes and the snow on the ground.  Oops, forgot to sprinkle some yellow/gold glitter around the lantern so that it looks like the light is haloed around it...agghhh!!!

White Christmas

Hello!

It's getting close to Christmas, everyone!  Yikes, only 3 more sleeps!  Are you all ready for it?
I've been too busy to make any new card in the past few days--I don't know busy with what exactly though...LOL, there just seem to be too many things to take care of.  But here's another card I get to show you anyway.  And yes, it's another one of my advent calendar cards...hmmm.  I haven't done a white on white card for quite a while now.   It's one of my fave types, so I do want to make more of them.

Featured on this card is the adorable Tilda with Little Rudolph. Rudolph maybe little, but it looks like he's still a wee bit too heavy for Tilda to be lugging around...LOL. This image is from A Christmas Story Collection 2012 from Magnolia.

I've coloured the image with my Letraset Promarker and Pantone Tria markers.

Magnolia stamps are available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store.  This image is one of the more popular ones and it is out of stock already, but if you would like to have it, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.  Have a look there at the other equally adorable images, both full size and mini stamps. Check out also the large selection of cutting dies from Magnolia, Memory Box, PoppyStamps, Marianne Design and Cheery Lynn Designs.

The Gifts of Christmas

Hello.

Just a short posting here to show a couple cards.  I am using the same image, but have given the cards different designs.  Hope you like them.

This adorable image is of Tilda with Tag Gifts.  She is from the A Christmas Story Collection 2012 from Magnolia.

This image is so versatile.  Although she is from a Christmas collection, you can easily put her on a birthday card.

Magnolia stamps are available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store. Have a look there at the other equally adorable images, both full size and mini stamps. Diana also has a selection of cutting dies from Magnolia, Memory Box, PoppyStamps, Marianne Design and Cheery Lynn Designs.

Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge #58 - 'Tis the Season (use Holly Flourish and Pine branches dies)

By the way, my sister was impressed with my pinecones...LOL.  I used one of the Spellbinders Petite Scalloped Circle dies to make a diecut out of kraft paper, coloured it, cut it out with a scissor and then shaped it into a pinecone.  Do they look real or what...hee hee.

Thanks so much for dropping by.  I appreciate the visit.  Have a wonderful weekend.  Enjoy!

Materials Used:
DP's: I've used papers that were in my scrap bins, so I don't know their names, but I believe they were from Recollections paper pads.

'Twas the night before Christmas

Hello.

I so enjoyed making the first two advent calendar cards that I decided to make that my theme for this year.  I usually don't have a common theme--I just make whatever I feel like making...LOL.  My plan was to make as many as I can for the people on my Christmas card list in whatever time allowed.  So, I have been busy making a whole bunch of them and then mailing them all out.  I won't show them to you all at once, but bit by bit.  If you get tired of seeing them, let me know...and I'll stop...LOL.

So here's one of them.  Keep in mind that I was rushing so the embellishments on all the cards have been kept to the minimum.

The images being featured here are all from the A Christmas Story Collection 2012 from Magnolia.  This is  Tilda on the Roof and of course she is sitting on the Snowy Roof.  I've actually extended the original roof image to cover the width of the card by hand-drawing more shingles.

Magnolia stamps are available from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store.  You can find both full size and mini stamps there.  Diana also has a selection of cutting dies from Magnolia, Memory Box, PoppyStamps, Marianne Design and Cheery Lynn Designs.

This is Edwin With Sack.  I don't see this Edwin in the store's inventory, so he must be out of stock.  If you would like to get him, just ask Diana if she can bring the stamps in for you.

Both Tilda and Edwin were cut out and then mounted on pieces of foam tape.   Not that you can tell from the pictures, but I've added glitter to all the snow and snowflakes and the windows of the lantern.

Challenges for this card:
Simon Says Stamp! - What's Your Favorite? (Magnolia images, Tim Holtz distress ink pad)
It's a Magnolia Challenge - Create a Christmas card
Everybody-Art-Challenge #217 - Anything Goes

'A Little Something' Gift Tag - Magnolia-licious November Blog Hop

Hello.

It's blog hop time at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog!  This is our last one of the year--taking a break in December.  The two Magnolia-licous teams are joining forces for this blog hop...woo-hoo!

If you're already doing the blog hop and came here from Eulanda's blog, then you're on the right track.  But if not, you may want to start at the beginning.  There's a challenge blog hop as well as a special contest about counting candy canes.  Find out more details about the blog hop and the contest, how you can enter either or both and the prizes, at the Magnolia-licious Highlites, HERE.

Here is the list of our participating DT gals in blog hop order:
Eulanda Silvey
Norma (your are here!)

The theme for the blog hop challenge is 'Interactive Holiday Tags'.  What I've created is this gift tag!

The interactive part is the paper circle/wheel on which I've written the message 'A little something  Just for You * Happy Christmas'.  Portions of the message appear within the window opening as you spin the wheel--so I guess you'd call this a spinner gift tag?

This adorable Magnolia image that I am featuring is called Tilda With Two Little Gifts.  She is from the A Christmas Story Collection 2012 and is available from Diana's on-line store, Magnolia-licious.

Check out the rest of the collection and Magnolia's latest Nativity Collection 2012--they're oh so cute! You will see the sample images that have been coloured by the DT gals--rather than just the black stamped images with a watermark on top of it. Click HERE and HERE.
Other stamps, both full-size and mini, are also available from Magnolia-licious. If you don't see the stamp that you want there, just ask Diana and maybe she can bring it in for you.
Not to be missed are the variety of cutting dies from Magnolia, Memory Box, PoppyStamps, Marianne Design and Cheery Lynn Designs.  Diana gives excellent service, discounted prices and you also earn in-store credit for every order.

I've coloured the Tilda image with markers--my collection of Letraset Promarker and Pantone Tria markers.  The shape of the tag is from a Spellbinders Label Twenty-Eight die.  The trees were created using Dee's Distintively Christmas Stacker Tree dies.  Don't know if you can tell or not, but I've covered the trees and the snowflakes with micro-fine glitter.

Hello.

I'm working on a whole bunch of Christmas cards, but I can't show them yet because I want them to be received by the recipients first before I post them here.  Some of them are finished and some of them still have more work to be done on, but they all have to be mailed out...LOL.

In the meantime, I have this card that I forgot to post.  It was a birthday card that I made for a very dear blogging friend of mine.  I was waiting for her to receive it before I posted it, and then I completely forgot about it...yikes!  Losing some little grey cells here! haa haa...
