Pink Macarons - Magnolia-licious October Challenge

Hello.  Happy Monday!

We're having our monthly blog hop earlier at the Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge Blog, so you can take advantage of the extra time--until the end of the month--to play along with us in our challenge.

In recognition of October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our theme is 'Think Pink Treats'.

The Magnolia-licious DT wants to help promote awareness/early detection and share what this Pink Think Month is all about with ALL women! We also want to honor all of those women that have or are currently fighting this disease and show our support in the fight!!! To show our support the DT has planned our own "Think Pink" Celebration and we hope you can all join in. Each DT gal has created some Sweet-PINK treats and PINK packaging to match using those beautiful Magnolia images. You can find some Magnolia stamps that were created specifically for Pink Ribbon Awareness at Magnolia-licious HERE.

For more details on the blog hop/challenge, on how to join us and the prize being offered, please visit the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog HERE.

If you're already taking part in the blog hop, then you've arrived here from Sharon's blog.  Hang in there--you are almost done.  I am the last stop...phew!!  LOL.
If you wish to start at the beginning, here is a list of my DT teammates in blog-hop order:
Norma (you are here)

This is what I've made for our blog hop:  A Gift Box of Pink Macarons

And yes, I baked those macarons myself! Cool, eh?
I tasted my first macaron when I was vacationing through France a couple of years ago.  Ambrosia!  I didn't think it was something you can home-bake, but as you can see, it is possible!  There were a lot of googling on the internet, sorting through dozens of recipes, watching lots of video tutorials, reading all the tips and tricks in making them and going through numerous batches of failed macarons.  But I think I can make decent ones now!!!  Woo-hoo...

To personalized by gift box, I've made this label.  The writing on the label was computer-generated and the adorable image is of BakingTilda from the So Jolly & Under the Mistletoe Collection 2009.

The label is glued on top of the wrap-around for the box so that the box won't suddenly pop open and spill out all the macarons...LOL.

For the front of the box I am featuring a couple of images from Magnolia's Pink Collection 2008:   Pink Tilda with Heart and Pink Stitched Ribbon

A portion of the proceeds from this collection is donated to the Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research.

Check out Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store for a large selection of both the full-size and mini Magnolia stamps.  Have a look also at the variety of cutting dies from Memory Box, PoppyStamps, Magnolia, Marianne Design and Cheery Lynn Designs. Diana gives excellent service, discounted prices and you get to earn in-store credit for every order.

Challenges for this projects:
Crafts and Me Challenge #104 - My Sentiments Exactly!
Just Magnola hAnglar and sTanglar Challenge Week 177 - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' - Through the Window
Stampalot Challenge for October - Punch Away (used Martha Stewart punch all over the page Heart punch)

Thanks for stopping by.  Your visit and encouraging comment are very much appreciated.  Have a wonderful week!
