Glorious New Day - FFFC #113 Spring Colours + Blog Hop & Giveaway

Today we're starting a new challenge at the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge and...it's also a Blog Hop.  The theme is 'Spring Colours' and is being hosted by the lovely Katharina.

4th Blogoversary Candy

Hello!

The 4th anniversary of my blog has come and gone (several days ago) so I am late with this posting.  To celebrate, I am giving away this blog candy.

 

I have put together a collection of craft items.  The dies I have managed to buy them on sale...woo-hoo, the stamps are duplicates that I have and the embellishments I have scrounged around from my stash.  I have also chosen things that are flat in order to keep my package flat for shipping, so the postage won't cost so much...ha ha.

Blogoversary and Birthday Candy

Hello!

Yikes...I've been too busy working on something for the Magnolia-licious Easter-Spring Extravaganza (have you check this out? If not go here--not to be missed!) that I'm late making this posting.

March is a celebration month for me. Two days this month that I take note of:

1. My blogoversary--this past Sunday marked my 2 years at blogging...woo-hoo...it sure doesn't feel like it. Because I'm continually learning (and hopefully improving myself), I still feel like a newbie...hee hee.

2. My birthday on the 25th. Yikes, another year older! It's okay though, I actually look forward to it. The way I look at it (and I've been doing this for the past 1½ decades), each birthday takes me another year closer to early retirement...hee hee. And then...yes! I'll have all the time in the world for crafting (I'm counting on it!)--I'm almost giddy about this!!

Anyway, enough blabbering. For the past several months, I've been collecting crafty items for this, just things that I can afford buying them when they're on sale, duplicate items that I've mistakenly bought or ordered, etc. I figured if I do it a bit at a time, I won't notice the cost...LOL. I've been filling up what I call my "candy box". I've now taken those items and divided them into 2 candy sets, one for by blogoversary and the other for my birthday.

So, I was feeling a bit lonely the past few days when I thought everybody forgot about me....LOL. As it turned out I was having a bit of a problem with my e-mails. I could send them out, but not received. So I had to wait a bit longer to make this posting until I got the problem taken care of. I just spent what seems like a couple of hours with my internet-provider person and I think it's fixed now. I hope. The response to my blog candy was overwhelming. I was simply floored--I never thought... And of course then I was feeling a little bad that I only had the one to give away.

As you may know, Vancouver (that's where I live), was the host for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. I was sending these small souvenirs from the Games to some of my friends. It's the cutest thing. It's my favorite mascot from the Games--we had 4 mascots. His name is Mukmuk and he is a marmot. The item is a keychain. Here's a picture...



Isn't he adorable!!! I just fell in love with him. Then I thought, hey, this would make a nice small consolation price. So I bought 10 more that I will give away to 10 lovely ladies. Okay, sorry, this has nothing to do with your crafting, it's just a momento. And you know, if you don't care for it, you can always give it away...

This past year has been more gratifying than I could have imagined. I can't tell you how much this has all meant to me.
