Goodbye and In2stamps DT Call

Hello.

I have these two cards as a way to say good-bye to one DT position and moving on to another.

Yes, I am leaving In2stamps...sob sob. The DT position was for a one-year duration. I joined their Designer Team in November/December of last year--hmm...I'm not sure of the exact date. But I knew my one-year anniversary there was coming up fast and I would probably will have to go looking for another DT spot somewhere pretty soon...LOL.

I want to thank Wendy and Bruno, the owners of In2stamps, for giving me the opportunity of being part of their team. I have enjoyed myself very much working with the In2stamps images and with the rest of the DT ladies.

Announcing IN2STAMPS DT CALL!!!

In2stamps is starting their 2nd year and they are in search of new DT members 2010-2011. If you are interested and would like to know the details, please visit their blogsite here.

The image that I have used for this card is Sad Littlebell. I have coloured it with both my markers and coloured pencils.

So then.....when I received an e-mail from Diana, owner of the Magnolia-licious Online Store, asking me to be part of her Designer Team for a new challenge blog, it took me all of two seconds to answer back with a YES YES YES. The two seconds was what I needed to start breathing again...LOL.

The first challenge of the new Magnolica-licious Challenge blog is this coming Tuesday, November 9th. The DT ladies have been waiting on pins and needles for this launch day...LOL. Challenge days are on 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. I hope many of you will join in the fun. Great prizes too!!!

I actually made this card this past summer, just before I went for my summer vacation. I didn't have time to post it before I left and forgot about putting it into a posting after I came back. So I'm including the card in this one. Perfect sentiment though for my new venture, don't you think...LOL? This image is of Littlebell Taking a Stroll, from the same In2stamps collection. This one was coloured using my markers.

Ta ta for now. Hope you enjoyed your weekend. Why does it always seem so short...LOL (and I didn't even get my extra hour of sleep...rats!).
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate the visit.

Stamps: In2stamps Sad Littlebell and Littlebell Taking a Stroll (these stamps, of course, can be purchased from their on-line store here). The sentiments are computer generated.

A Foxy Lady

Hello!

I was in a Christmasy mood--yes, even as the fall season is just approaching...yikes, next week! But really, is it every tooo... early for a Christmas card? A matter of opinion I guess. Anyway, I've used this In2stamps image of Lady Petronella.

Thanks to Erin for the use of her sketch that she created for Sunday Sketch & Stamp Challenge #36.

The colour scheme of the card is to meet the Colour Create Challenge #53 - red, gold and white or cream.

And at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge, their theme is Christmas colours. I am hoping that that doesn't mean I have to actually use the tradional colours of red and green.

The original image of Lady Petronella actually has her holding a stem of flower in her left hand, but I didn't think that went well with the Christmas theme. So I did some work masking the flower from the stamped image.

Wherever I colour a touch of gold on the image, I overlay it with some gold micro-glitter. I also use the glitter to frame each piece of the DP's.

Yay...weekend coming up! Have a good one everyone! I'm always looking forward to weekends, especially on Mondays...LOL. Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate your visit very much. Take care!

Stamps: In2stamps Lady Petronella from the April Releases Collection (available from In2stamps on-line store here), PSX G3341 poinsettia, G Studio Holiday clear Stamp series 33.
DP: Creative Imaginations stripes, Making Memories Big Dot Rouge Paperie, Basic Grey Wassail Collection Cranberry Sauce, American Crafts dots.
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities Petite Ovals Large.
Misc: Vintage Attic Treasures pearls, Michaels pearls, ribbons from my stash.

Autumn's coming!

Hello. Happy Saturday!

I am enjoying my summer, so I'm really so not ready for fall to come calling yet. But don't you just the colours of autumn? I sure do. Warm and rich colours and well...earthy...LOL. Here's a card I made in those colours!

I've created this card for Passion for Promarkers Challenge - Week 66, using Debs' sketch with the added theme autumn colours.

I am also entering this in the Papertake Weekly Challenge. Their current challenge is a 3-2-1 recipe challenge. The items are of your choice, so mine are 3 DP's, 2 flowers and 1 ribbon.

The image I used here is from In2stamps Elmit and Littlebell Collection. She is called Cute Littlebell. She can be purchased from In2stamps on-line store here.

That's it. A short and sweet posting for today. Thanks for taking the time to drop by for a visit. Appreciate it. Enjoy your weekend.

Smell the Flowers

Hello!

I have a few cards that I have made for In2stamps before I left for my vacation, but didn't have the time to post them before I left. This is one of them. This card features Emily Sniffing Flower from the April Releases Collection. This is more or less a general card. I haven't added any sentiment to it. I'll probably use it as a birthday card. Or...I can use this as a retirement card and add the sentiment 'Now you have time to smell the roses/flowers...Happy Retirement!'

I am entering a few challenges with this card:
Everybody-Art-Challenge - Challenge 104 - In the garden
Stamping for the Weekend - Challenge 45 - Anything Goes
Crafty Creations - Challenge 81 - Butterflies

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my blog.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Elmit has a Toothache and I'm on vacation

Hello from Annecy, France!

Sorry, I meant to post something before I left as to the time I was leaving for my vacation, but time got away from me. We flew from home 6 days ago for Europe! Woo hoo...how cool is that! And we will be here for a month!!!

Internet connection is pretty iffy while we are roaming around Europe. At least in the places where we are staying. This is the first chance I have of posting something on my blog. Sorry for not e-mailing back to those of you who have e-mailed me--I'm not ignoring you!!! And I only have a tiny laptop with me and it keeps kicking me out!!! So frustrating!

For now, I don't have a new card to show you, but I have made this card for In2stamps before I left. This oh-so-adorable image from In2stamps is called Elmit has a Toothache.

I have used my Prismacolor pencils to colour this image.

And speaking of Prismacolors and because I knew I was going to miss doing my card making, I at least took some stamp images with me and some of my pencils (not all of them though, as I am trying to travel light--we're backpacking...yikes!). I can fill up my time during long train rides and during the evenings when we have nothing better to do. Doesn't that just shows you how obsessed I am?...LOL.

I must say bye for now before I get kicked out again. Tomorrow we are moving to a place where we won't have internet again and we'll be there for a week. Thanks for dropping by. I appreciate your visit.

Stamps: In2stamps Elmit Has a Toothache from the April Releases Collection.
Tools: EK Success border punch.
Embelishments: Making Memories brads, ribbon from my stash.

Summer Romance

Hello.

Sorry, sorry, I've been neglecting my blog here. I'm getting ready for my vacation and there are just too many things to do and too little time left. LOL...same old same old complains, right? I've been getting things together for my trip and at the same time try to have a few cards done.

Here's one of them. For this card I have used this adorable image from In2stamps. This is called Tender Bear Kisses.

I have coloured this with my Prismacolor pencils. I'm sure enjoying exploring that medium.

I'm keeping this posting short. Enjoy your day. We're having a heat wave where I am--in fact the entire country is in a heat wave.....Yikes!!!

Stamps: In2stamps Tender Bear Kisses (available from In2stamps on-line store here), sentiment from Just Rite Friendship set. Designer Paper: Hot Off the Press Paper Pizzazz Joy's Vintage Papers, Chatterbox Pink to Heart and Scrapbook Walls Sky Cottage Plaid. A couple more of challenges that I am entering with this card:

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #65 - Stars and Stripes.

A Spoonfull of Sugar Challenge 110 - Animal crackers.

That's it for today. Keeping this short and sweet.

Happy Gardening

Hello.

Oh, I finally have a new card to show you.

I had such plans for this past weekend for my card-making, but it turned out to be a total bust. A big fat zero in the output department...LOL. And then there was that little incident of my not being able to find my camera after a wedding party I attended. It was finally found in my brother's car (phew!)--slipped out of my pocket while I was sitting in the back seat. Thank goodness, but it was still a wasted weekend--at least it felt like it.

Okee doke....sorry for my rambling on, but just had to get that off my chest.

Here's my card.

I have used an image called Jimmy and Grandpa Gardening from the In2stamps April Releases Collection. The stamp can be purchased from the In2stamps on-line store here.

I am using this card as my entry to the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge - Week 57 - I have used Emma's wonderful sketch shown to the right here.

ABC Challenge Blog - W is for Weather.

I have made this a general card and did not put any sentiment on it. I can easily add the required sentiment for whichever occasion arises.

I've also used my Prismacolor pencils again to colour the image. I'm enjoying myself experimenting with them, but I do miss my markers.

Except for the 4 tiny brads at the corners, I didn't put any other embellishment. I thought the design of the DP is quite busy that any embellishment would probably get lost in it.

Thanks for stopping my. I do appreciate your visit. Enjoy your week!

DP: from Me&My BIG Idea Value Pack paper pad.
Misc.: Recollections brads. Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Large and Petite Scalloped Circles Large.

Take it easy!

Hello!

In anticipation of summer, I have created this card, using this image of Relaxing Elmit from the In2stamps Elmit & Littlebell Collection.

I have used the wonderful sketch that Beth has created for the current challenge at Truly Scrumptious Challenge 34.

This card is also my entry to the following challenges:

Simon Says - A recipe challenge - 1 Image, 2 Patterned Papers ( + a contrast card for layering if you like ), 3 Types of Embellishments ( you can use as many of each type as you like ). My 3 embellishments are the buttons, ribbons and photo corners.

All That Scraps - Buttons and Ribbons.

Charizma Cards - Challenge # 23 - Spots and stripes.

Stamping for the Weekend - Challenge # 40 - Summer/travel theme.

I've used my Prismacolour coloured pencils to colour this image again. I'm starting to really like this medium. I find I have more control than I do with my markers.

Thanks for dropping by. I do appreciate your visits. Have a good Friday. Weekend coming up...woo hooooo.....

Stamps: In2stamps Relaxing Elmit from the Elmit & Littlebell Collection (available from In2stamps on-line store and also if you're in North America, from All That Scraps on-line store.)

Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities classic scalloped rectangle large, Marvy Uchida scalloped oval, Coluzzle oval template, EK Success Paper Shapers photo corner curved punch.

A Kiss to Make It Better - In2stamps June Challenge

Hello. Happy Friday!

A bit late with this. A new month--Happy June!--which means a new monthly challenge for In2stamps. The theme for this month is Get Well. This will be the last challenge before summer vacation--taking a break in July & August.

You can get all the details of the challenge at the In2stamps Challenges site here. And check out the fabulous cards of the other DT members.

This is what you could win:

6" x 6" patterned papers of Basic Grey's Indian Summer
3 In2stamps stamps of your choice

Challenge is open till 1st of July.

I am trying something completely new to me. I have coloured my image this time in coloured pencils. I am a complete novice at this. I have wanted to try using my Prismacolours pencils for who knows how long. I have been putting it off. In fact, I have had my set of coloured pencils, oh... over 2 years, but haven't used it. I have done my colouring exclusively with my markers. Until now. I like this very much and will be experimenting more with it.

Thanks for dropping by. And have a wonderful weekend...woo hoo.

Stamps: In2stamps Mommy's Caring from the Get Well Collection (avaliable at the In2stamps on-line store), Autumn Leaves Stampology Block 1 clear stamp set.
DP's: Chatterbox Designer Paper Happy Bloom.
Tools: Coluzzle templates circles and ovals, Martha Stewart border punch.
Misc.: Queen & Co. pearls chocolate delight, Recollections Autumn pearls, Tim Holtz distress ink pad vintage photo, Ranger Adirondack raised felt dye pad sunset orange.

Congrats on Retirement

Hello!

I've made this card for a co-worker in the office where I work. He's retiring in June. I have used an In2stamps image called Ratcliffe's Jump Of Joy from their new April Releases Collection. You can purchase this stamps from the In2stamps on-line store. I thought this is just the perfect image for a celebration. If I was the one who was retiring, I would surely be jumping for joy myself...LOL. (sigh) All that extra time to do my crafting...at least that's the myth, right?

This card is my entry to a few challenges:
Sketch and Stash Challenge 35 - I am using Lorraine's sketch shown here.
A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge 103 - a recipe challenge to use 3 designer papers and 3 buttons.
Colour Create Challenge 44 - colours are khaki, aqua, brown and cream.
Night Shift Stamping Challenge 15 - Männerkarte.
Stamp Something - Celebrate Something Challenge.

Thanks so much for dropping by.

Baby Card in a Box (Gift Box)

Hello! Happy midweek!

I have made something different than just a card this time.

I found this scrapbooking book at our library--don't you just libraries?…all those free books to look through. It's titled "Outstanding Mini Albums: 50 Ideas For Creating Mini Scrapbooks" by Jessica Acs. One of her projects is this box that she had made and turned into sort of a mini scrapbook. Inside the box, she had made pockets for the 4 sides and you can slip your photos inside the pockets. It's a really neat idea! I took her project and made my own version of a card-in-a-box. Not sure what Jessica’s dimensions are, but I had to make the sides of my box large enough to accommodate the In2stamps images which are between 3 – 4 inches. So the box is a 4-inch cube, made out of a single 12”x12” cardstock.

On the outside, the box looks like this.

And you have your card in the inside when you take off the lid.

I have used three images from the In2stamps Baby Collection. This first one is called Angel Boy.

This second image is called Flower Girl. I confess! I couldn't decide which gender of baby I should make this for.

And this third image is called Caterpillar Kisses.

I could have used another image for the 4th side, but I decided to make this a blank space to write personal messages instead.

You can leave this card simply as a card-in-a-box, but the box is also big enough to double as a gift box. So you can put a little present inside.

To make it easier when closing the box, I used a couple of those fancy paper clips to hold the sides together.

I am using this project to enter a couple of challenges:

Creative Inspirations Challenge 33 - Congratulations
Fun with Shapes and More Challenge 52 - Pastel Inks

Oh, one more thing...I have no idea how you're supposed to mail this out...LOL. I think I would probably make this if I was sure I can hand-deliver it.

Stamps: From In2stamps Baby Collection (which can be purchased from their on-line store here).
Designer Papers: K & Company Garden Medley Stripe Printed Embossed Paper, from Chatterbox Scrapbook Walls Collection: Sky Cottage, Sky Cottage Plaid and Rosey Cottage.
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Three.
