Christmas Wreath Tilda

Happy Sunday!

It's the 25th of the month...which means it's time for another Christmas card. This is the aim of the Christmas All Year Long Group of our Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group, to create a card for the 25th of each month, so that by the time Christmas comes along you will have at least 12 Christmas cards to send out (or more realistically 11 cards...LOL).

We're also doing this as a blog hop. A list of the group's participants can be found at the Group's blog here. The start of the hop is with Julie, who created this group and also organizes it. Thanks for all you do, Julie. My name is listed about two thirds down the list. If you're following the blog hop faithfully, you would have come here to my blog from Monique's blog. And the next hop-over after me is to Patricia's blog.

Here is my April Christmas card.

I've made this another easel card, but this time a round one. I have to thank the super talented Debbie for her tutorial on the round easel card and the many many inspirations she has given me.

I had so much trouble decorating the wreath. I wanted to wrap a ribbon around it. I tried different sizes and colours of ribbons. Each time I took them off because it didn't create a nice background for Tilda--too busy, even with the slimmest ribbon. It took the focus off Tilda. So I ended up not having it at all and just added some blings. Hope I haven't gone crazy and added too much.

I'm entering the following challenges with this card:
Just Magnolia Week 52 - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Anything goes for Christmas
Stamp Shoppe - April Challenge - A shaped card
All That Scraps - Sewing on your project
Crafty Catz Challenge #29 - Stitching
Dutch Dare Card Challenge #76 - Easel card with theme repeat something

To continue this blog hop, your next visit is at Patricia's blog.

Thank you so much for your visit. I do so enjoy reading comments, so if you can spare a moment to leave me a note, I'd appreciate it very much. Enjoy your weekend!

Ah, spring...

Hello! Woo hoo...weekend coming up!

Here's a Spring card that I've made using a couple of In2stamps images. These two are from the Elmit and Littlebell Collection: Elmit in Tomato Can and Littlebell in Flower Pot. I thought the two images go so well together that I can use them both in one side-step card.

Here's a list of the challenges that I am entering with this card:

Pile It On Challenge #15 - Is spring finally here?
Passion for Promarkers Week 48 - In the Garden

The card stock I have used for the base of the card is a light green Bazill. The card stock that I used for the frames/mats around the DP's, although it looks black in the pictures, is actually of a very dark green colour.

The template for the side step card you can find here. The template however is for a 4"x4" card, so I adjusted the measurements to make my 6"x6" card.

Thanks for hopping to my blog. Have a wonderful weekend and happy crafting!

Stamps: In2stamps Elmit in Tomato Can and Littlebell in Flower Pot (can be purchased from In2stamps on-line store).

The sentiments are computer generated.

DP: I only used one DP for this card from Basic Grey Phoebe Collection called Angel Island.

Tilda with flowering vines

Hello! Happy Saturday everyone.

I liked how the flowering vines that I did turned out the last time on the card with the Easter bunny, that I had to do it again, but this time with Miss Tilda...LOL.

I was working on a similar sketch in my head, when lo and behold I found Maggie's sketch that she created for Sunday Sketch & Stamp. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought she created it just for me...LOL...it's perfect for what I had in mind. But I am too late for their challenge, as it took me forever to do the vines. Oh well.
I was also making this card for the May home page challenge for our Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group. The theme for the month is May Flowers.

And the other challenges are:
Cute Card Thursday Challenge 108 - Touchy Feely!
Stamp Something - Something Layered Challenge
Creative Cottage Challenge 6 - Things with Wings
Creatalicious Challenges Challenge # 9 - Flowers and Wings
Stamp Shoppe - April Challenge with Spring theme

I've added some glitter to Tilda's wings, but I don't know if you can see that.

Keeping this short and sweet. Like everybody else, there's much more to do in my craft room. Thanks for your visit. I'd love to read your comment if you can spare the time to write me one. I'd appreciate it very much.

Stamp: Magnolia Bridesmaid Tilda (from Fairytale Collection?), Magnolia Summer Day Background.
DP: from Provo Craft River Rock Scrap pads.
Tools: Coluzzle circle templated, Martha Stewart edge puncher Lattice, Punch Bunch leaf punches medium and small, EK Success retro flower punch, star/flower-centre punch from Michaels $1.50 bin.

Littlebell

Hello! Happy midweek! Yes, we're halfway there. By 'there' I mean the weekend. I sooo..... look forward to my weekends, because that's when I have time to do my crafting/card making.

Here's a card that I finished this past weekend. This gal is Cute Littlebell. She is an In2stamp image from the Elmit & Littlebell collection. She is available from the In2stamp on-line store and while you're there, check out the new April releases. They are also cute cute cute!

I am using this card as my entry to the following challenges:

All That Scraps --Week 25 - Distressing. As one of the rules is that your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store, yes, you can purchase In2stamps stamps there. For you Americans and Canadians, All That Scraps is the only store in North America that sells them.

Papertake Weekly--The theme of their current challenge is Cutie Pie.

Creative Belli Blog -- Challenge CBC89 - Die Cut Shapes.

I found a couple of yummy DP's in my stash that I haven't had a chance to use. I've had them for a long time and I rather think that they've been discontinued. They're from the Basic Grey Infuse Collection. I've chosen the colours to colour Littlebell from the ones on the DP's. As I ended up with lots of red and green, I am thinking that I could have made this into a Christmas card, eh? Littlebell is even sporting a jingle bell at the tip of her cap. Would that have worked, do you think? Hmm... ...maybe not with those DP's. I'd have to choose some Christmasy DP's. Okay never mind--I'm just rambling here...LOL...

...which probably means I'd better sign off now. Thank you for visiting me. I appreciate it so much. Have a wonderful day.

Stamp: In2stamps Cute Littlebell.
DP's: Basic Grey Infuse Collection Inspire and Purify.
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 8.
Misc. Tim Holtz Distressing Ink Pad vintage photo, Studio G rhinestones.

Tilda with three flowers

Hello! I hope you're enjoying your weekend.

I have made this easel card, but it is not for any particular occasion, so I have not put any sentiment on it. I can easily add one on as the occasion arises.

For the front of this card, I have based it on this sketch from the current challenge at Mojo Monday - MOJO133.

Here a list of other challenges for this card:

Pile it on! Challenge #13 - Easel card
Cupcake Craft Challenge #85 - Make your own flowers
Roses on Paper Challenge 35 - Layers
Just Magnolia Week 50 - Punch it out!
Stamp Something - Stitch something
Allsorts Challenge 47 - Petals & pearls

This Magnolia image I am using is of course called Tilda with Three Flowers. She is from the new 2010 Hoppy/Spring Collection. She is also my favorite from that collection.

Thanks for dropping by.

DP's: Little Yellow Bicycle Baby Safari Girl Plaid, Recollections light pink dots, Chatterbox Botanicio Green Oak.
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities labels 13, EK Success corner punch and border punch, flower punches from EK Success, Punch Bunch, Carl Carla Craft, Martha Stewart and leaf punches from Martha Stewart and EK Success.

Hoppy Spring - In2stamps April Challenge

Hello! Oops, I am a bit late with this posting.

Happy April! A new month! That means a new challenge at In2stamps. The theme for April is...Spring. The prize is 16 sheets Marianne Design Eline's Vintage patterned papers and three In2stamps stamps of your choice. You can find out all the details for the challenge here at the In2stamps Challenge Blog and also check out the wonderful creations of the other DT members. This is my card for the challenge.

I've chosen this Flower Bunny from the Get Well Collection. And this is the funny part... It's simply because I found this sentiment stamp that says 'Hoppy Spring' and I wanted to use that for the card. The only image I could think of that would match the sentiment is our resident bunny here. I've used her before as a Valentine bunny. Now she is playing the role of the white Easter bunny...hee hee...she is very versatile. Isn't that a hoot, though! Usually it's the other way around--you choose your image first and then find whatever sentiment will go with it...LOL. It was a lucky find for me too, as it only cost me $1.50 at Michaels. I've punch out a tiny circle from white felt and glued that on the bunny's tail to give it a bit of fluff--I think you can only see if you magnify the picture.

With spring finally arriving--and yes, it's really Spring here!--I see a lot of clematis vines flowering around me and that gave me the idea of using it on my card. Or rather that's what I was trying to create. I love clematis.

Also, I wanted to connect the top/front of the card to the bottom section of the easel card, so I've used the flowering vine to do that. I've also made it so that even when you lay the card flat, the vine design also continues. Well, I really like how this has turned out. Me thinks...LOL...I will do this vine thing again...and again...

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you've enjoyed your weekend. Woohoo for me, I get an extra day off tomorrow--more time for crafting!

Stamps: In2stamps Bunny with Flower Bunny from the Get Well Collection, Crafts Mart sentiment stamp 'Hoppy Spring' from Michaels $1.50 bin.
DP: Art Impressions Green Ivy.
Tools: EK Success border punch, EK Success small retro flower punch, flower centre punch from Michaels $1.50 bin, Punch Bunch leaf punch.
Misc.: Recollections pearl stickers.

Daffodil Tilda

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. Happy today to all! And Happy Easter to those of you who celebrate Easter.

Here's an Easter card I made using a few Magnolia images.

This is Tilda with Flower in Her Hair and she is sitting on the Spring Fence. Both are from the 2010 Hoppy/Spring Collection. And at the left, directing you to the egg hunt..hee hee, I think it is called Butterfly Sign--not sure which collection this one is from. All of these images you can get from Magnolia-licious. I've come to the opinion that this fence was made especially for this Tilda image, because the daffodil in Tilda's hair matches the daffodils at the fence.

I have used the sketch that Claudia has created for the Magnolia-licious Highlites April sketch challenge. I've rotated the sketch by 90 degrees.

Here's a list of other challenges that I'm entering with this card:
Flutter By Wednesday - Challenge #103
Papertake Weekly - Challenge #38 - Open theme

Passion for Promarkers Week 45 - Use 2 images on your project. Hmm....I think I may be disqualified for this one as I have 3 images. Oh well, I'll give it a try anyway.

Simon Says - It's so distressing. I've used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad Vintage Photo to distress the edges of my paper and Broken China to distress my butterflies.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 106 - It's so Egg-citing!
Roses on Paper - Challenge 34 - Punch It!
Everybody-Art-Challenge #84 - Spring
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge #7 - Easter
All That Scraps - Spring Bling

And I just prettied up the inside of the card simply this way.

Enjoy the rest of your long weekend.

Stamps: Magnolia Tilda with Flower in Her Hair, Spring Fence, Butterfly Sign.
DP's: Basic Grey Wisteria Cornflower and Tea Lights.
Tools: Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly and small butterfly punches, Coluzzle oval template, Marvy Uchida scallop oval punch.
