It's Time to Celebrate! - FFFC #190 'Punches & Dies'

Hello.

Happy Friday!  It's time for a new challenge at the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge.  This is our Challenge #190 and the new theme is 'Punches and Dies.'  I hope you'll be able to play along with us.  Hop over to the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge blog for complete details on the challenge and to check out what my teammates have created to inspire you to join us.

This is the card that I came up with.

Love the Weathered Clock die from Tim Holtz.  I thought that die cut would be perfect for the sentiment.

A closer look at the Magnolia Stamps image being featured.

This cute-girl image is called 'Tilda with Heart Socks' and she's from Magnolia Stamp's 'With Love Collection 2013.'  I've coloured her the usual way with alcohol-ink markers and a few coloured pencils for better shading.  I've cut her out and then mount her on double-sided foam tape.

On Your Wedding Day - FFFC #174 'Bingo'

Hello.

We're starting a new challenge at the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge.  The lovely Nikki is our hostess for this challenge and she has created a 'Bingo' board for you to work with.  Our challenge is being sponsored Live and Love Crafts.  Don't forget to hop over to the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge to get complete details and to have a look at what my teammates have created to inspire you to join us.

Here's what I've created for the challenge, a wedding card.

Below is the Bingo board that you get to work with.  For my card, I went with the diagonal option of flowers-lace-pearls, as well as the bottom row of pearls-charms-dies.

I love the white-on-white colour scheme for a wedding card.  The background paper is actually an white embossed designer paper, although the dry-embossing is not very deep/pronouced so you can barely see the vine-embossed pattern.  So for added texture, I've embossed another piece of plain white cardstock with polka-dot pattern.  And then more whites from the lace, flowers, foliage and pearls.  The two pewter heart charms were added to match the groom.

A closer look at the adorable bride-and-groom image being featured.

This image is called 'Wedding Couple' from Lili of the Valley.

I hope you'll join our challenge.  Please hop over to the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge to get complete details of the challenge.  Don't forget to check out what my teammates have created to inspire you to play along with us.

This first photo is the view of the card from the top.

The spine of the card has been increased to the same height as the cake.

When the card is displayed like an easel card, a small candle-filled box and a cake are revealed.

The birthday candles goes into the holes on the cake.

There are probably a few tutorials on how to make this type of cake card--but here's a link to a tutorial that I like, created by Kathryn at the Stempeleinmaleins website, HERE.
