To Have A Good Friend... - "W"ednesday Posts #20

Hello.

Today is Wednesday and so it's time for another "W"ednesday Post at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog where the DT gals take turns featuring Wee Stamps or Wild Rose Studio images on our cards/projects.  Suzi, Jane and I are participating in today's posting.

And so...this is my card.

For the shape of the card, I made my own template.  I searched for a picture of a scallop shell on the internet and then blew it up to the size I wanted--the width is just about under 6 inches.
I chose a circle to cut around the image, a round shape--it's suppose to represent the pearl in an oyster.  Get it?  Yes, yes, I know that's not the shape of an oyster shell but a scallop shell instead.  Artistic license, you know...tee hee.

I made this into an easel card.

Oh by the way, those aren't flowers.  They're sea anemones--at least they're supposed to be...tee hee.

This adorable image I am featuring is by Sylvia Zet from Wee Stamps...

and she is called Goldie and can be found at the Magnolia-licious on-line store HERE.

Check out the rest of the Wee Stamps Collection HERE.

Of course you can also find Magnolia stamps there--both full size and minis--as well as stamps from  Wild Rose Studios, Penny Black and Candibeans.   Magnolia-licious also carries cutting dies from various companies.  Have look at the *new* exquisite dies from Memory Box and PoppyStamps.  Prices are discounted, you get excellent customer service and what's more, you get to earn 2% credit to be applied to future purchases.  Cool!

Celebrate...it's your day! - Magnolia-licious 'Celebrations'

Hello!

We're midway into our current challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog.  The challenge theme is 'Celebrations'.  It's Team B's turn to post our inspirational cards/projects, so hop over to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog to see what my DT teammates have created and also to get the details for the challenge and how you can join in the fun.

Here's my DT card for the challenge...

But just wait for a sec...this is only the view of the card front, when the card is all folded up.  This is actually a tri-shutter card.

I altered the measurements of the original tri-fold shutter card and made another version of the card.

This gives me not quite a full panel for the card front but still a bigger front panel than the original tri-shutter card.

Here are a few new Magnolia stamps that I finally got around to colouring.  And I've coloured these images with markers.

- Elephant Show Tilda from the Little Moscow Collection 2013
- Miss Dorothy (the elephant) from the Little Moscow Collection 2013

- Tilda in Evening Dress from the Little Moscow Collection 2013

The stamps for these images are available from Magnolia-licious, where Diana carries a large selection of both full-size and mini Magnolia stamps.  And if you don't see the particular one you are looking for, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.  Check out also the stamps from Wee Stamps, Wild Rose Studios, Penny Black and CandibeansMagnolia-licious also carries cutting dies from various companies.  Have look at the *new* exquisite dies from Memory Box and PoppyStamps.
Prices are discounted, you get excellent customer service and what's more, you get to earn 2% credit to be applied to future purchases.  Sweet!

Here's one of the dies that you can get from Magnolia-licious:
for the purple flowers, I used these dies...

6-Drawer Gift Box

Hello.  Hope you had a wonderful holiday season.  Wishing everyone all the best thoughout this new year, 2014.

I'm actually finding it hard to get back to what I call 'serious' crafting in my craft room...tee hee.  I've been so easily distracted.  Anyway, I am showing you a project that I created this past December.

It is a 6-drawer gift box that was a Christmas present.

This is the view of the top.

The stamped Magnolia image can be put on display as a mini easel card mounted on top of the gift box.

This adorable Magnolia image being featured is Tilda With Winter Flowers from the Sweet Christmas Dreams Collection 2011

I left my markers alone for this one and used my coloured pencils to colour the image.  At the end though, I did the dotted background with markers.

The stamp for this image was from Magnolia-licious, Diana's on-line store, although currently this stamp is out of stock.  However Magnolia-licious has other equally adorable images, both full-size and mini.  Check them out HERE.  And if you don't see the particular one you are looking for, ask Diana if she can bring it in for you.
Take a look also at other wonderful stamps from Wee Stamps, Wild Rose Studios, Penny Black and Candibeans, along with cutting dies and other craft supplies.

I've filled the drawers of my gift box with some of my favorite embellishments--mainly handmade flowers, a length of lace and some pearls.

Challenges I am entering with this gift box:
Lovely hAnglar or Sweet Magnolia Challenge #85 - Anything Goes
